Lots of Ubisoft single player games, OG resident evil games like outbreak vol 1 and 2 and RE4, (cousin made me play a lot of five split screen even though I didn’t like it as much) started to get into PC gaming when I was 17-18 but could only play old RPG maker horror games and Gmod on my toaster until I upgraded in “19 to my current old ass rig.
Aside from that growing up, we went on a lot of trips as a family, my parents were always able to get really good vacation deals and scam timeshare interview people for free hotels and shit so we went all over the country as a kid. That was always fun.

i did play skyrim for like 40 hours & enjoy it, but i guess i was always more focused on socializing & novelty & creative/sandbox games, rather than immersion
played gmod with my cousins sometimes, that was fun

Yeah for me it was all about the immersion and storytelling, like you can make your own story in a sandbox but RPGs are more geared for a combination of storytelling and making your own adventure.
Ironically, one of the trips I remember is Vegas pretty well, it was a shit hole but the exhibits were really cool. Mind you this was when I was like seven or eight so I don’t remember it too well just the smell of cigarette smoke everywhere and one of the hotels we stayed at called the flamingo. Not sure if that’s still in existence. Also got to see the old Star Trek exhibit they had before that got shut.
Universal Studios was pretty cool too even though I don’t remember a whole lot other than the Jurassic Park water ride, Terminator 3 ride and back to the future ride.
I remember walking around on a World War II battleship and going inside a submarine while we were in San Diego, those might be some of my earliest memories.
We’ve also been to Virginia Beach, Hawaii, Mount Rushmore, and a few other places can’t think of right now.

I was surprised after finding out that the gender demographics as pretty even on roblox nowadays. I remember women and girls pretty much being unicorns back in the day and woman would ever actually tell you, lest they be swarmed by the basement dwellers.

True, I think they changed their target audience from when I played it as a kid (2011-2016) when it was preteen-early teenage nerdy boys who wanted to make and play games. Now it's elementary school and younger age girls who like playing dressup with their characters (and still some boys of that age), and college-age adult men make the games. Some grown zoomers who played it when they were kids still play it too.

I used the Roblox forums a lot as a kid, which were basically like 4chan for kids that were pretty heavily moderated but the users could be similar. They used the word "newbag" instead of newfag for example. I shifted to 4chan in 2015 and the Roblox forums got deleted a couple years after that, I guess as part of their shift in target demographic.
