Unfortunately for me I didn’t get this anxiety until my mid 30s until I watched my parents go from being middle-class and end up in poverty because they didn’t invest and spent carelessly.

It made me realize while everything is fine now, if i don’t start investing asap I’ll end up being in poverty like my parents.

My parents literally owned a McMansion in the 1990s and sold it to start renting because they wanted to find a new place to live, but they took too long to find a new place to buy and before they knew it they were priced out of the market anywhere they wanted to go, so they just kept renting and ignoring reality

The home they sold for $300k in 1999 is like $3.5M now, they couldn’t even afford a $300k house today

I really did not care before then, care free, just living like a neet
