when you're farming something alone, queue for those dungeons you need and join when they pop, times are usually pretty ass unless you are tank/heal so keep that in mind. eventually you'lll be ready to move on to alts or just help guildies (the true way to make good friends). just don't help people who are overly weird or shitheads. since i'm dps i mostly try to befriend healers and tanks, but even just spamming dungeons at 60 is decent gold so it's whatever
