Everyone is mad because it's a troll video kek, he made every dish wrong.

>put garlic sauce on the turkish dΓΆner and McDonald's fries, then complained it was too fast-foody
>made yakitori to represent Japan and not yakuniku, the actual Japanese BBQ style
>marinated the rooibos for South African braai, no boerewors
>served the Pinoy lechon wrong, like pulled pork
>put the wrong sauce on the Brazilian picanha and the wrong side dishes, also it should be seared not BBQd like that
>didn't use the right beef cut for the argentinian BBQ, used an american cut instead

it's a griddle hot plate, so no, it's not "bar be que" by american standards. Good BBQ will be cooked over charcoal or smoked from wood charcoal, period. Drips that cook make smoke, not just wood charcoal and chips. So again, this is just a hot plate, with a propane burner under it.

Korean marinades are good, as well as dipping sauces and ban chan condiments. It can also be succulent prime cuts. It's just not BBQ.

He did not showcase Yakiniku on the video, because it would have taken one of those top spots. This would have caused much anger as Korean troll brigades patrol the internet, they are paid by the government of the ROK (Republic of Korea) to promote Korean music (KPop), Korean television (Squid Game) and Korean food.

Alas, Yakiniku is a century older than this Korean BBQ style. And Wagyu from the Miyazaki Prefecture is considered as the best beef in the world. Korean do not use their own beef for "Korean BBQ" but the Wagyu imported from Japan. And they try to pass this off as a Korean product.

Still, I do not blame the Korean people. There is nothing wrong with patriotism. They are promoting their brand with aggressive internet brigades, and it works. Now influencers have to pay their respects to the Korean netizens.

My problem is the ones that put Kimchi or Gochujang on the Wagyu meat which is a crime.

Not really. Braai is hands down the best BBQ in the world. You need to be able to afford an airplane ticket to South Africa though, if you ever want to try it.

Which you don't. You just prefer your eternal poorfag circlejerk.

A few months ago he made a video straight up comparing Argentine asado to American BBQ and praised the Argentine style to high Hell.

https://youtu.be/NyM2NXb7czc?feature=shared

But now he makes another video and ranks it below the American style at #4.
Except he didn't use the Argentine vacio beef but an American replacement (flank steak) which is not quite the same beef cut, it changes the whole way of grilling it. You will never get that brisket juiciness grilling flank steak like a vacio. But you do with vacio because of the huge leathery flaps covering the meat, which trap the juices.

He is getting sloppy/clickbaity.
I still like his videos tho.

I haven't tried Korean BBQ so I won't comment on that. I generally like all BBQ styles, I can't say no to a good grilled beef.

You dirty lying japshill.
Yakiniku is an off shoot of Korean BBQ. It was created by ethnic Koreans who lived in Japan. Due to religious reasons, Japanese weren't even allowed to eat beef until the Meiji restoration ya dumb ass.

It is true. The "Korean BBQ" style is supposed to be made with Korean Hanwoo beef. But this beef is not easy to procure in Korea. In most cases, they give the people Wagyu beef imported from Japan and tell them "this is Korean BBQ".

Even with the ban there was a meat-eating culture that continued in places like Momojiya, and this took on a wide variety of forms including boar, deer, cow and horse.

The Hikone Domain was the only place in Japan to produce miso-marinated beef, known as heihongan. This marked the beginning of Omi beef becoming a local specialty . During the period when the port was opened, Omi beef was shipped on foot along the Tokaido, and later by steamship to Tokyo and Yokohama.

The custom of "yakiniku" (grilled meat) already existed before the Meiji era. For example, in Yokohama , at the end of the Edo period when the port was opened , there was a dish in which skewered grilled beef was sold and offered to customers. The word yakiniku itself (grilled meat) is also older than the Korean BBQ concept.

So you are wrong, the word yakiniku and the practice of eating grilled meats is very old in Japan. I do not deny there was also Korean that influenced the practice.

I am also not surprised you had your internet brigade image all prepared. Like I have said this is to be expected when one mentions the country of Korea.

>As usual, the typical insecure japcel keeps lying through its teeth
Nope, its through and through a copy of Korean BBQ. There is a specific method and style, this isn't just 'grilling meat over fire' which everyone has done at one point or another. Skewered meat has been done for ages before Japan like in Mongolia as example and there are earlier civilizations that have done it prior.

But beyond all that, look at the etymology of the word Yakiniku. It dates back from the Meiji Restoration era after eating meat was made legal again.

BEFORE the newer term Yakiniku even existed, you guys called it Chōsen ryōri, aka Korean Cuisine.

Seethe and Cope.

Also, you are lying about Korean beef. Hanwoo is just one of the varieties. There are others that exist but like Japan, they import more beef from Australia as the domestic supply is limited and extra expensive.

Like with all BBQ there is a gigantic power gap between the top tier restaurants and the average/shit tier ones.

You can't get good Korean BBQ anywhere where there aren't Koreans.
