I have a couple.

I worked at the mall in the 90s and used to get dinner at Burger King regularly which was amazing. The Whopper whicheese was always good and I love that chargrilled taste and lettuce and tomatoes slathered in mayo, and then of course the onion rings. I have so many comfy and sweet memories of sitting there having dinner around Christmastime before going back to busy madhouse work.

the second memory is a specific one, where I hadn't been to a Burger King or Hungry Jack's for literal years, and then i wandered into one and got the nuggs with BBQ plum sauce and I was so impressed that Hungry King won me over again

My friends I tell you, it was one of the best meals I have had this year. The crisp vegetables mixed with the moist and hot broiled burger. The cool soda, the hot and crunch fries, totally blown away.

I was able to get a value meal for $5.99 and they even complimented my shirt. They don't let black people touch your food and they also have ice cream.

I got my favorite toy car from a Canadian Burger King when I was 8. Every other time I went to BK the food was disappointing in a "not bad but I wish I'd gotten Mc Donald's instead" kind of way.

23 years ago BK had the best dollar menu that ever existed. I was in high school and we had 30 minutes to eat lunch. My friends and I would pile on someone's car, smoke some weed, and hit up the BK drive thru for $1 Chicken Tenders sandwiches and delicious jalapeno poppers. Onje time in the drive thru we all started laughing uncontrollably and weren't able to order for 5 minutes or so. All the workers knew us so they just laughed back at us. I was going to BK twice a day sometimes because it was so good and cheap.

I flew 20+ hours once to visit family and the jetlag and probably something I ate made me so sick to my stomach those first couple days, and I was at a bar having beers with my brother and I got absolutely kicked by violent diarrhea, which was painful because I could feel this high pressure hot lava in my gut painfully pushing a core of dry solid shit down my bowel. This bar has two floors, downstairs is food and all the old barflies and upstairs is music and darts and a younger crowd. We were upstairs, and I shuffled panicked across the bar into the bathroom and that's when I realized upstairs only had urinals, no toilets.

I had to do it, I had no choice I was literally shitting my pants as I leaned against the wall unable to walk. Nobody else was in there, and I completely filled the urinal with lumps of hard shit and a whole fucking hot stew of granular diarrhea. the texture was like brown/green/orange paste full of water beads and it was fucking foul.

I wiped up with hand towels and washed my hands up to my elbows and got the hell out of there. We left our full drinks right on the table and evacuated from the neighborhood.

Miami is the international home to BK. My high school days had an open campus so students literally raced over to the drive-through and back before being late. This was also the location they trained managers and franchisee's. It had terrific fast and competent service, as well as the test market new foods.

theres 2 main ones in my city and one of them have had their shit together since the 90s, even if its packed in there after the bars just closed and the other one is always a complete shitshow where they used to get hung up on taking orders before digital ordering and they make the food really slowly even when its completely dead

Back in 2014 or 2015 they had .99 cents for 10 nugs. My boys and and I were 16/17 at the time and insanely jacked, ever more so than I am today. We’d pull up after the gym, usually $10 in change, and we’d buy 100 nugs lmfao. The workers hated us because it was right before closing.

Also in 2007 or so my cousins and I would bribe library employees with BK cheeseburgers for extra time on the computers to play runescape all day. It was like a 3 mile round trip to get the burgers.

I used to go to the BK next door to the construction site i worked one summer at 18 years old. I would get a large iced frappuchino in the morning, then at lunch I'd get like 5 burgers, chicken fries, and regular fries, then smoke weed in my minivan and get back to work after. The only time I have ever eaten Burger King is after 2 nights of raving, it was in Sunny Beach in Bulgaria (insane place). We hadn't eaten in 2 days probably and were super hungry. Nothing that special. The bk inside the truck stop at exit 5 us23 in Michigan doesn't change the oil so the hash browns taste like fish. That was pretty cool. I haven't been there in years so it's probably not like that anymore.

I remember back in the VHS days they had the chicken sandwich (wasn't called original, there was only one) for 99¢. I was a kid, I got 4 of them and rented the Elizabeth Taylor Cleopatra film from blockbuster. It's like a 4 hour movie and I ate 1 sandwich per hour.

BK is probably the least shitty fast food rn, but the bar is really low.
They are also one of the highest calorie per item too. This can be a good thing if you're poor but bad if you're fat and not that poor.

That sauce was so damn good, used to always go to BK for the stackers until it got discontinued. I cope with McD mac sauce now, but it's nowhere near as good.

We didn't have a&w growing up. I went to one with my mom when I was maybe 8 years old in another state. The menu had a burger called the "teen supreme" and misunderstood that it came with the listed ingredients and not a choice of those. I said "I'll have a teen supreme with bacon" but they have me one with all the toppings that I would eat today but as a child I hated. I threw a fit and upset my mom. I never really wanted to eat there since when though I'm different and so are they.
Apparently the "teen Burger" still exists, but I can find no reference to the supreme. It might have been a local franchise variant. The menu was probably cheap and locally printed.

The Burger King near me is staffed by white people and I have always had a pleasant experience there. Nobody fucks up my order and they don't seem to recycle month-old ingredients like some locations do. Burger King is the last remaining fast food establishment in my area that has both reasonable prices (relatively speaking, they're still pretty bad) and passable quality food.

I remember fondly when my single mom would pick me up after highschool and school on Fridays and we would go eat at BKs. Chat about our day, how life was going on, do plans to do stuff, and in general bond with my mum, over my same menu of long chicken without mayo, medium normal fries and medium normal coke.

I'm fat as fuck now, but she did the best she could, specially given the plethora of mental illnesses that plagues our family(including me).

every burger chain where I live that isn't McDonalds has mostly colored folks for employees. I've often wondered if I would like BK if I found a place with actually decent staff. I kind of like the signature burger. I like that they have jalapenos. (the only thing I feel McDonalds is lacking is spicy items) Not a fan of the smoky flavor they go for in their burgers and the milkshakes are terrible.
