Vegans are a death cult that value animal lives over human ones. Humanity was able to evolve a larger brain thanks to the extra calories from eating meat. Perhaps one day in the future we will have lab-grown meat indistinguishable from from animal-raised meat, but today is not that day.
Its curious that your solution to horrific farming practices is not to outlaw horrific farming practices (that would infringe on god's chosen to make ill-gotten profit, wouldn't it?), but to have the common man eat less meat, and more bugs instead.

There isn't a single conservative that wants to outlaw horrific farming practices. Literally right now Republicans want to pass a farm bill overturning California's regulations on pork and chicken farming. The cruelty is literally the point, "trad Christians" and their Jewish masters oppose any measures which encourage farmers to treat their animals ethically or humanely. They also oppose lab grown meat, it's been preemptively banned in Florida and many red states.

It's half virtue signalling, half protectionism. Politicians rail against lab grown meat to protect animal agriculture interests, but filter it through culture war terminology. It's the same thing with solar and wind energy, and to a lesser extent nuclear. Republicans care about prioritizing the interest of petroleum, gas and coal companies above all else, even if it makes no sense. Nuclear power plants are being shut down in the US and replaced with natural gas plants, even in Germany they replaced nuclear with coal with catastrophic results on the climate and power grid, although German politics are of course way different than the US.

Lab-grown meat is like the most nonsensical bullshit ever.
There is a highly efficient bioreactor, self-producing every substance the cells need to grow, self-protecting against viruses and bacteria, needing no additional electrical energy but can be ran with waste products from human food production and producing basically no waste itself, with it itself being able to be used nearly 100 percent. It's called an animal.
Zero need to build a huge artificial reactor needing artificial electrical heating with ZERO protection against infections (which on industrial level WILL happen), needing the required thousands of substances (of which many are not even known) for growth inserted manually, for which to this day calfs are getting their blood sucked out of their hearts, just to in the end get a mass of cancer cells. That makes zero sense.

You really think that the REAL goal and dream isn't artificial ORGANS? THAT'S where the money is, THAT'S what successful growing actual body parts with veins and structure and everthing actually would be used for.
Needs A LOT less capacitiy, so could actually be perfomed under laboratory sterile conditions, MASSIVE profits per single "product" and actually makes sense.
All those artificial meat startups are basically the guinea pigs for it, the do the dirty ground work and when they inevitably fail the know-how can be taken by the pharma sector for basically nothing.
But for CONSUMPTION purposes it makes ZERO sense.

Could be in the end a huge coincidende.
It all depends on our use of fire, how that really happened and why not with other animals will be impossible to really know. But the fire started it all. One day our ancestor zero saw a fire and instead of running away like other animals went "Unga. fire good! Me take fire!" and from that it was a steep climb. The fire made the meat more digestible and soft, allowing for the jaws to shrink which gave room for a bigger brain, while the energy from the cooked food allowed them to afford that bigger brain. Higher intelligence lead to even better hunting with more meat and so on.
Why no other at least for short periods bipedal ape made that discovery is a huge mystery.

If you sell a steak made of minced vegetals its not a hamburguer steak, is something else, you are free to sell it but you cant call it hamburguer steak and now must use another term.
The regulation has been there for a lot of time but it never applied to vegan stuff due vegan lobby, for example Pringles cant be sold as "potato crisps/chips" because potato crisps/chips are deep fried thinly sliced potatos, they are sold as "potato snacks".

I like that argument. Ethiopia has more cattle than any country in Europe, yet almost no food related emissions. What could be the difference? The industrialized production you'll probably say. But what's the same between a pound of meat and a pound of meat ersatz in the first world? Yes, it's the industrial production. All of these calculations are just smoke and mirrors. Especially when the vegetarian products mainly use isolates and other highly refined ingredients, which need even more industrial capacity.

>nugget
I think this was a marketing term for deep fried chicken meat that was extended to other types of meat or food - so the least problematic one. Just don't use any part of the word chicken in the product, e.g. veggie nuggets etc.

To what extent are the properties of sausage transitive? I only need to taste a tiny nugget of breakfast or italian sausage to know I'm eating sausage.

Traditionally a sausage is a cylinder with hemispherical ends. If you cut the ends off, is it not still a sausage? And if you were to slice that truncated sausage, either longitudinally or transversely, would those slices not still be sausage? If not, does the round slice become a burger? Does the square slice become something different still? I say no. Sausage is an intrinsic and intensive property.

Formed plant slabs do not have the same bodily effects as meat. At the beginning people are usually hype, with the novelty and the fact that is is still fresh and does not even taste that bad leading to high sales.
But after a while sales begin dwindle down after the bodies noticed that there is something more than shady about that "meat" and blocks the appetite for it. No discount, no promotion leads to sales anymore.
