Lab-grown meat is like the most nonsensical bullshit ever.
There is a highly efficient bioreactor, self-producing every substance the cells need to grow, self-protecting against viruses and bacteria, needing no additional electrical energy but can be ran with waste products from human food production and producing basically no waste itself, with it itself being able to be used nearly 100 percent. It's called an animal.
Zero need to build a huge artificial reactor needing artificial electrical heating with ZERO protection against infections (which on industrial level WILL happen), needing the required thousands of substances (of which many are not even known) for growth inserted manually, for which to this day calfs are getting their blood sucked out of their hearts, just to in the end get a mass of cancer cells. That makes zero sense.
You really think that the REAL goal and dream isn't artificial ORGANS? THAT'S where the money is, THAT'S what successful growing actual body parts with veins and structure and everthing actually would be used for.
Needs A LOT less capacitiy, so could actually be perfomed under laboratory sterile conditions, MASSIVE profits per single "product" and actually makes sense.
All those artificial meat startups are basically the guinea pigs for it, the do the dirty ground work and when they inevitably fail the know-how can be taken by the pharma sector for basically nothing.
But for CONSUMPTION purposes it makes ZERO sense.
