Would Hare taste any different than Rabbit?

rabbit is shit. it's the same realm as squirrel. I used to go rabbit hunting when I was younger and nobody wanted to even eat the rabbits after we were done.

They're right. But not for the reason you think.

The people who virtue signal about how evil it is to eat Dog or Cat but eat Pig and Chicken and shit like that truly have no principles.

>Inb4 but they're pets
So are pigs and chicken to a lot of people.

>inb4 but the Chineses torture these animals.
Nigga most of the animals you eat are encased in small cages and fattened to death.

I wouldn't eat Dog or Cat but I can admit that it's an irrational aversion.

it's like very lean turkey stringy meat with a mild gamey taste. It's actually pretty good stewed but I wouldn't eat it roasted or anything.

Even in terms of religion. Most of you are either Christian, Atheist or Agnostic. And it's safe to say most of you don't follow Old Testament views on kosher.

This is not even a "The Bible doesn't say anything about X or Y" argument. The New Testament specifically tells you that as long as you're not drinking it's blood, strangling it or sacrificing it to Anubis. There would be no problem with eating dog. And atheists would have even less of an excuse.

It's unironically the "because it just is, okay" meme.

>follow old testament
Jesus showed up and said its not what you put in yourself (food) as much as what comes out of you (actions/words). So you don't have to be kosher, you just can't be an asshole about everything
Anonymous No.21668525 [Report] >>21668529

That's what I'm saying. Most of you are Christians so I assume anything other than drinking blood is fair game.
Anonymous No.21668529 [Report]
>>21668525
Everything basically is fair game. Just don't over indulge or make your food choices more important to you than the word of Christ. Don't give in to your hunger every time, either.

Squirrel, rabbit, raccoon, and possum are classic hillbilly fare.

I recall an anon posting here or on /an/ about how their grandpa would make a christmas possum dish, which basically consisted of trapping a possum and giving them good clean food for a few months (tablescraps etc) and then a diet of cornbread, milk and honey for the last few weeks to fatten them up.

Rabbit is delicious, my grandparents were first generation Sicilian immigrants living in Brooklyn. When we came over for Sunday dinner, she'd make rabbit in tomato sauce along with sausage, meatballs and various pieces of pork and beef. I grew up with a million Italian Americans on Long Island and not once did I ever run into any that had rabbit regularly or ever. I know you can still find it in butcher shops in neighborhoods with a heavy Central American presence
