Which brands have the best Vanilla Ice Cream?
Of the ice cream brands you've tried before, what is your ranking for their vanilla ice cream? From what I've had, I'll place
>Haagen Dazs > Ben + Jerry's > Tillamook Old Fashioned
The last two are chewier than HD, but I like the refreshing taste HD gives. I also think B+J is sweeter than the TOF. All are good though

for me its blue bell

HD is basically the only mass produced ice cream at point. everything else is a science experiment

I’ve heard the Costco one is good but I’ve never bought it, agree that HD is top tier

I picked up 2 jars of picrel this week so I might try making some

>French vanilla
Is there anything eggs can't do?

Tillamook French vanilla is great.

I also have a soft spot for blue bell homemade vanilla, but that's mostly a nostalgia thing.

Haagen Dazs and it's Aldi's Dupe "Specially Selected Super Premium", Blue Bell, & Breyer's (make sure the carton you buy says their ice cream in the bottom right corner not frozen dairy dessert as the packaging is otherwise identical so save on cost I assume).

>Ben + Jerry's
Hard Carried by their exotic flavors & Mix-in's, their base ice cream is so-so
>Tillamook Old Fashioned
In my experience tasting side-by-side Tillamook is the most creamy/rich but the dairy fat is so excessive that it mutes whatever flavors it's supposed to carry probably due to serving temperature (if you've ever taken a compound butter directly out of the fridge and spread some you'll know it's only like 1/3 as good as when served @ room temp like eating milky clay).

I remember the Good Mythical Morning guys absolutely hating the French Vanilla, and one of the guys said he loved vanilla. Kinda curious now
