Is coffee good for you?
How much increased productivity does a coffee drinking nation get by drinking coffee over a non coffee drinking country?
Is coffee spice? Does it make you more than human? Or is it just a illusion of productivity or a mere ritualistic enabler of it rather than a direct increase?

it's loaded with antioxidants and reduced your chance of getting parkinsons, but there are probably some downsides too. If you load it up with cream and sugar it gets unhealthy quick

cu/ck/s will tell you no because of acrylamide and piss out my ass, but drinking 4 cups of coffee daily is associated with a longer lifespan and reduced risk of all cause mortality
but those plastic lined coffee cups? i would avoid those at all costs, you get a ton of michaelplastics from them

It makes me poop like three times a morning, which I like. I switched to tea about a month ago and the lack of a steady and reliable bowel movement schedule is getting to me. I don't like poopin anytime after lunch.

Like the other anon said, caffeine pills don't have the same effect (for me, even with substantial water intake) plus I do like the taste.

I only switched to tea because, as much as I like coffee, I have converted to the best morning brew imaginable.

What i find irksome is the parroting of the purported benefits, when everything there is out there for coffee is merely associations from observational studies.

Given coffee's prevalence on millions of people for decades, the lack of definitive, long-term RCTs for outcomes like cancer or mortality seems sus.

Also cocoa has 10 to 30+ times higher antioxidant amount than coffee (and tastes good without you having to be an addict)

Brit here - I assume you're also a Brit if you're drinking Yorkshire Tea. Coffee also makes me shit several times a day which is annoying. Maybe I should switch to tea. If I can get away with shitting just once a day that would be much better so I wouldn't have to keep wiping my arse and washing my hands all the time.

I haven't tried Yorkshire Gold tea, but regular Yorkshire Tea is good, probably the best tea I've had since it's stronger than other namby pamby teas.

Light and Medium Roasts are not baked at high enough or long enough temperatures to break down acrylamides. After that there's questions of fertilizers (cheap chinese stuff with heavy metals), pesticide use and handling (mold).

Caffeine abuse strips Niacin, hence the shakes (same for too much sugar, and alcohol). Deficit in it will induce ADD symptoms, irritability, ect.

>Conclusion: Our findings suggest that moderate coffee consumption leads to a decrease in all-cause and cardiovascular-related mortality, hypertension, cholesterol, heart failure, and atrial fibrillation. However, no conclusive relationship between coffee and coronary heart disease risk has been consistently identified.

What is it with certain Brits obsessing over these shit generic tea bags? They're no better than any other brand or even the store brands. It's just burnt tea leaves in bags with 'Yorkshkre tea' written on the box. Did you know tea doesn't come from Yorkshire? Fucking Brits.
Anonymous No.21716248 [Report]

Actually acrylamide is found more in light roasts. It's burnt off with further roasting so the medium and dark roasts contain less. Also, while initially there were concerns, acrylamide doesn't seem to be harmful.

I'd have to ask how much they drink and also how different their nation would be without their coffee consumption. If coffee brings their productivity from 10% to 40% then god bless those nibs for keeping things held together.
