japanese reactions:

I'm more surprised that they didn't have fruit sandwiches overseas. I mean, what have you guys been doing with bread as your staple food?

Fruit sandwiches are supposed to be filled with whipped topping. I demand it be made again.

Japanese one looks better.
There are more than twice as much fruit in Japan.

Fruit sandwiches are a Japanese tradition

Korea will say, “Strawberry sandwiches originated in our country” again.

Oh no. England has gone gastronomical.

I'm glad to hear you call it a Japanese strawberry sandwich! In Korea, they will say it originated in their country.

Combined with the fact that Japan won this year's World Confectionary Competition for the second year in a row, it seems that Japanese confectionaries are attracting worldwide attention.

After the egg sandwich, the fruit sandwich was exposed. The last stronghold, the pork cutlet sandwich

It seems odd to me because in the UK thry only think of sandwiches as salty flavored.

I know Japanese bread is known as fluffy and chewy in the world, but what about British bread? It looks a little dry to me.

I mean, the British, I didn't know they were interested in food.

Sooner or later, France or Korea will claim the origin. No, France will claim the right and interest. Because they did it before.

The fish and chips are not good either, seriously, HUB in Japan is better.

I don't think there is any cream in the world as good as Japanese cream, and I am sure that in Japan you would be bowled over!

England, you made a big deal out of the strawberry variety patent issue with Korean farmers before.
You're very particular about berries.

There are also ears and that hard-looking bread doesn't fit. I think foreigners really don't have the ability to understand the true essence

That Japan's food culture is decades ahead of the rest of the world, and that foreign food culture has been stagnant for a long time.

We already had this stupid thread and agreed that looks gross as fuck on sandwich bread. And no, American bread is not cake. Something like that fruit and "creme" bullshit should be on cake but it's not so it's gross.

No, that was a limited edition, for Wimbledon. Which finished months ago. Then that sandwich went away because it was a limited edition. Limited
Edition.

I lived in England for 10 years. I suffered from the food. They don't season their food at all, so I think it tastes bad to Japanese people with discerning palates. If it's not only tasteless, it's also expensive, so you lose interest in eating it even more. I had fish and chips as a safe bet, but since the fish was not seasoned, I think it would have been disqualified in Japan. But I don't think the British are so proud that they would never want to think that their own food tastes bad

I've never been to England, but Australia is seriously bad too

It may be problematic to say this, but I suspect that many ethnic groups are taste-deaf
I think Americans can only taste ketchup and mustard. There are many reasons for this, but
basically, I think Anglo don't care about taste

I used to be transferred from London to Barcelona and I realized that the weather and the food affect my mentality

It would have been nice to have found a necessary protein supplement in fish.
Britain is also an island nation, and if the aristocracy had embraced a fish diet, the economy and food culture would have been more developed
On the other hand, we are grateful to our ancestors who devoted all their thought to how to catch and eat fish, seaweed, and seafood.
Kelp, wafu, mekabu, and mozuku are all eaten normally, and we Japanese have amazing digestive enzymes!

I heard that if you ask for the best restaurant in London, they will refer you to Chinatown

I lived in England. The difference between Japan and England really comes out in McDonald's and so-called "convenience store" sandwiches. McDonald's in England is very bad. The bread of convenience store sandwiches is also dry. Cheap food tastes as bad as the price in uk. Japan, where you can eat cheap but amazing tasty food, is an exception to this rule

A variety of dishes as if they appeared in a gag cartoon

continued:

I live in England. I try not to be adventurous because it's expensive, tasteless, scarce, the menu is only written, and it's a triple punch. McDonald's patties and nuggets are stinky, hard, and bewilderingly bad. The vegetables I buy at the supermarket and cook at home are of poor quality. Is it a bad variety? They sell sprouted vegetables, damaged ones, expired ones, and broken eggs without a care. Chicken, pork, and beef are dry, smelly, and hard. They don't sell slices. They don't taste good. The only things that taste good are ham and lamb. You can't expect it to be as good as in Japanese supermarkets. When they are hungry and can only eat a little food, they satisfy their hunger by eating ice cream, cookies, chocolates, so-called sugar. So they complete their hunger with palatable sugar. It's sold as if it's good enough to eat, without considering the feelings of the eater. The way they think is also poor. Someone once said that winning the war was ruining England. I agree

When I traveled to Australia a long time ago, one day I visited a ranch and was served a steak grilled on the spot for lunch. Many Japanese tourists who were happy with the steak initially left it uneaten after a few bites. The tour conductor told us, "Aussie beef itself is a tasty meat, but in Australia, because of the tradition of British food culture, the meat is grilled without seasoning, and because there is no way to prevent the juices from seeping out, the umami and flavor is lost, and the result is just a tasteless finish. The meat istelf is not bad," he said in a desperate attempt to explain himself.

Fifty years ago, I went on my honeymoon to a restaurant in London and was disgusted by the mashed spinach that was served as a side. I thought it would have tasted better with salt and pepper and a little butter. The spaghetti restaurants in Rome are also of a very low level compared to those in Japan, and the fritters in Venice were not tasty at all

>creme
I work for a corporation big enough to have its own internal social media site. We have a food and cooking page and there is some Asian wine mom on it that writes ‘creme’ instead of ‘cream’ regardless of context, and she posts every single day. I seriously want to tell her to fuck off and stop doing it.

Japanese food is garbage except ramen and a few other things. Sushi is garbage, only passable if the fish was cut 1ms ago and served still moving (which itself is pretty disgusting if you think about it)
Vietnamese, Chinese, thai, Indian, Nepali cuisine is all better

I am Japanese and our cuisine is absolute garbage.

I could not wait to leave Japan and enjoy some real food.

I want food that is tasty and I don't care if it is arranged in a traditional manner. Our food is bland and boring and we just copy foodstuffs from other countries and pretend we do it better but it's just a lie.

No they are not.
Brits have been eating fruit sandwiches for centuries and even the least appetising offerings were sold out before lunchtime.

Lol he is hyping up seafood for no reason, it isn’t particularly tasty and probably only so developed in japan because they were too poor for else. Also japanese food is like the blandest asian food. It’s funny seeing people of different culture cluelessly prefer their own food.
