Dekuck's manga is over and Asta's manga is practically in the final fight of its final arc (though the author wanted to be with his family so it moved to a slower release schedule), the idea is that they get their full end-game power levels for a rematch.
Asta's advantages aren't really lesser though. I guess you might be able to make somewhat of a case for Deku's AP but Asta beats him in skill, speed and everything and Asta has a fucking ranged duraneg attack which is before he gets Zetten and all the really good ki bullshit.
