Look I don't want to add to your pain here, but I do understand it. I have had those issues with my family. In fact my mother & father were physically abusive to me and that set the stage for later violence. It only ever ended because I kicked my dad's ass, and please understand I only phrase that so casually because it was so painful. But these are human cruelties, not gendered ones. I don't know your wounds but I know step 1 to healing them is disinfecting them and washing away the dirt.
How old are you skipper? Its ok, I'm done making fun of you. I'm 29. I wish when I was a kid that someone explained to me that people are just people. You'll feel more at peace when you accept that. Men could just as easily abuse you and blame you for the abuse through your brain condition. That's because all abusers and predators read from the same script regardless of sex: "look what you made me do"
But you didnt make them do anything. They made bad choices. Choices that hurt you. And their gender isnt an excuse for them. If you accept their gender as an excuse by claiming all women are like this, you're letting the abuse continue inside your own mind and that should be your fortress & sanctuary dude. Not an arena. Everyone is like everyone else. Your abusers weren't just women, they were human. My abusers were human.
We're all sharing a very flawed & fragile existence.... which is why gentle & strong people like Bobby can stick out as a good potential partner. You'll make it dude, everyone can make it.
