Typically seen as "the opposite of a classpect". Where an active class becomes passive and vice versa (what changes to what is highly debated and I've my own opinion on this). While the aspect gets inverted to its opposite. Personally, I don't see classpect inversions as "the opposite classpect", but rather another classpect that a person can exhibit based on certain (usually negative) circumstances. It's an extension to someone's personality.

I was going to use this as an example, it's probably the most clear one. Seer of Light becomes Thief of Void in my eyes. But you can apply this to other characters, like Karkat, who exhibits some Bard of Breath, by taking away people's freedom and forcing himself as the leader. Or Kankri, Thief of Breath, because he literally does not shut the fuck up and doesn't let you speak. Negative aspects (they don't necessarily have to be negative though) of a person can be seen in the lens of a classpect inversion.

The HS faith works best as a folk religion. With how much individual fans can have wildly different takes on the same scripture, it only makes sense that any worship of the characters would be just as varied. I could easily see something like one branch of Zahhakians emphasizing the beauty of horse posteriors and value of being strong and more "based" like their God, while another branch could value loyalty and protection of the weak alongside developing skills of archery and mechanics.

So, the way I go about it is first understanding the passive-active pairs, which is also debated, though the two that are agreed upon are Bard and Prince (destroy their aspect or through it) and Thief and Rogue (they steal their aspect or through it). The way I view active and passive classes is that the former has a bit of friction with their aspect while the latter goes with the flow more. So a Prince actively destroys their aspect, while a Bard mainly fucks around and the destruction is a consequence. A Thief is selfish and takes their aspect for themselves, while a Rogue shares it. The rest of my pairs go as follow:
>Becoming their aspect or through their aspect, Heir and Page
The aspect naturally comes to an Heir (passive), while a Page struggles and learns many lessons from their aspect (active).
>Serve their aspect or through their aspect, Maid and Knight
A maid naturally continues their aspect, working and living their life to bring it about (passive), while a Knight is more akin to a wrangler having a duty they're bound to (active).
>Manipulate their aspect or through their aspect, Sylph and Witch
A Sylph will heal their aspect or others with it, they tend to be behind the scenes (passive), while a Witch breaks their aspect, make it appear in ways you wouldn't expect and creatively (active)
>Teach their aspect or through their aspect, Seer and Mage
Seers love their aspect and will go balls deep into indulging into it (passive), while a Mage while caution others when it comes their aspect as they understand being burnt by it (active).
Inversions are a different thing, and it's hard to really explain them without examples. The Rose, Karkat and Kankri ones are pretty good to explain how they exhibit these inversions through their personalities.

So how about land of stations and orbit (and frogs). A barren husk of a land who’s real meat comes in the form of floating space stations which have habitats the frogs live in.

Here's the thing. When the ending came out I was certainly disappointed. It was rushed, and didn't tie up nearly as much as it should. The slog leading up to it was also frustrating, the dancestors representing the absolute nadir of that to me. That or Vriskagram. Even still, there were some things to enjoy. Basically anything with Caliborn, [S] Collide, and when the main cast interacted they were still for the most part well-written. Despite not sticking the landing I don't think anything will take away my enjoyment of the series.
Everything that comes after that is basically just upjumped fanfic, so I don't let it affect how I view the original work. Sometimes I check in on the trainwreck from time to time but Homestuck is still Homestuck. You can basically just shout down any of the godfeels/pesterquest/FRAF types pretty easily if you encounter them in the wild, they have no power over your reading of the series.

Terezi and Vriska can be friends, after everything they've been through I don't want them together romantically they need to move on. DaveKat is just kind of bizarre to me, there was never any indication it would go that way (at least IMO) and I don't think their chemistry would have been that good. I think the cartoon has the potential to actually polish up the story's rough edges and fix up the pacing issues in it's back half so maybe DaveKat could turn out okay if they built up to it better. Selfishly though I'd hope it wasn't a 100% direct adaptation though.

Imagine my shock when it was actually real. I just don't think it should happen ever. They could do a Dave with Terezi and Karkat with Jade subversion, but I like Karkat with Terezi too much. The meme of Memeira is more nuanced than one may think at a first glance, it goes beyond the joke about balls, stealing the joke much like how she wanted to steal the Hakurei orbs(balls), and thus ironically becoming a meme herself by doing what she was supposed to do within the game, which is steal.
Meira is an unexpected character that appears unannounced and is supposedly not affiliated with our current antagonists, she butts into Reimu's path, practically forcing her way in on dragging Reimu into a danmaku battle, not only that but she introduces her balls for bullets into the game, praying for as it bounces around the screen.
However, with in mind on how she's showing up out of nowhere(Meira out of nowhere) within our hero Reimu's path is also why she's in the hearts of so many /v/hoes on the first place, as it's in part of her very soul to behave like such.
Not just that but her legacy never dies, in future games she appears once more, and another within a manga. It's her but not really, the appearance is very similar but is completely different in terms of personality, only highlighted by deeper references when it comes to religious figurative applications in japanese mythology and lore.
But there's also other applications outside of it when it comes down to her design which was practically double stolen from another game and an ancient manga which ZUN liked and decided to hijack on having within his game, the first of many and the true soul of Touhou on what turned ZUN into what he is today with his doujin spirit, borrowing ideas from other creators to make it as his own.
Meira, much like her much rich purple hair is tasted like fine wine, it takes some acquired taste to get used to but by then, you'll learn how vintage it was on the first place because by then, you'll realize how important she was not just in term of lore but also on carving a path forward for our beloved ZUN.

I think if the pairings got a shakeup Dave would probably still get with a guy. I don’t think they’d pair up both the main human male leads so Karkat still ends up being the best choice for Dave out of lack of better options among the trolls.
