I begin to 'skip' adventures and go on my own way and pretend to take notes but mostly do it infront of them.

I'll try and say buzz words about computers that if you look hard enough you know are complete bullshit but mention it off hand.

Then after enough time has passed like maybe a few months I ask caine to help me set up an adventure since i wanna do something nice for my friends.

I plan out a whole 'escape adventure' with him and ask him to really sell it that theirs a way out and if he second guesses i'll tell him to trust me that i know them well.

Then when the day of the adventure comes i tell them I know a way out and it's only going to be open for a bit.

Make up some nonsense about how I'm using caine as a port from here to reality and once he wakes up the port will be closed and i can't re open it due to adaptation due to his firewall.

If they believe me great now i take them on this wild goose chase where they think were about to escape and right as were about to reach the 'exit' the door to escape disappears and i stand there.

Some of these examples don't work. He absolutely does fight back when put in the maid dress, he also calls votes in revenge for votes against him which are denied. Just because he didn't physically harm Gangle doesn't mean he didn't fight back, and he escalated the situation too, but people got in the way and prevented him from actually doing anything about it.

In the employee reevaluation, he can't fight back because he is literally completely restrained by the arms on the chair. Gangle is basically god in the fast food scenario so he can't really resist (especially with Caine's threat against poor performance).

He gets pissed off when Ragatha accidentally takes a heart from him and angrily shoots her 6 times in a row. I'm excluding the entire competition here too just because it is a well defined competition, but unloading his entire gun into Ragatha after he lost a heart was clearly revenge motivated.

While his bullying of Gangle is probably just for fun/opportunism, it's pretty clear the extreme torture he puts Ragatha through (and literal threats to kill her) are likely revenge based for past issues.

The President Pomni scenario was one of the suggestion box adventures from Jax and he said he purposely didn't give Pomni a role document to see how she would react, which means that he purposely gave everyone else role documents, which is why Kinger knows to be Pomni's secretary and Zooble and Ragatha are secret service, while Gangle is a bomber. Pomni was the only one without the document.

Anyway my point is mostly that Ragatha hasn't really ever been "too much" in my view with perhaps the exception of that one scene where she was also potentially purposely playing a role in that roleplay scenario.

Zooble takes it from Kinger's drink and puts it in front of Jax as though she expects something to happen (does she already know?) but later she says "Are you afraid of corn?" and it sounds more on the genuine side rather than the sarcastic ("I already knew") side of tone?

Nah, best analysis I've seen of Jax is he's Nega-Ragatha, which is to say he purposely aggravates people to make them focus their anxiety and frustration on him rather than their situation. Where Ragatha tries to keep everyone's spirits up to stave off abstraction, Jax gives them a target to pin their negative feelings on.
His pained expression when looking at Kaufmo's door was the same as Ragatha's torment, in that moment he was lamenting how he failed Kaufmo by not being a better outlet for Kaufmo's anxiety.
His panic attack during the awards could have been any number of things but one possible explanation is he was starting to dwell on how his words to Pomni hurt her rather than made her mad at him, he was starting to freakout at the idea he might have pushed her towards abstraction by his misstep and the idea it was his fault was eating him.
We can see right after he tells her he'd move on he gets twisted up realizing that didn't have the effect he wanted and tried to reel it back by saying she couldn't take a joke.

In the very next cut after the deep fryer Zooble tries to use her spatula attachment to flip a burger and burns herself slightly, her reaction is maybe less than you'd expect from a real person. But seems to not be less than half the pain a real person would experience. Also Ragatha testifies to how the glitching is extremely painful in the first episode yet she can still talk calmly and respectfully while experiecing that.

Also its not like they can get away from each other, and they've been together for years at this point, so Ragatha is probably used to serious pain. Saw an interesting observation. It's possible that the gun here isn't actually loaded, and Jax knows that. The whole game was kicked off by Caine's trust exercise where Person A unloads the gun and Person B either shoots themselves or Person A. Considering that at the start of the episode, and that Jax sees himself as a wacky cartoon character pulling tricks on a cartoon show, he was probably trying to set up a bit to end the episode on. Which would probably go:

>He says some callback joke to the trust exercise

But she's not on-script like he thinks he himself is, and it's making him internally pissed she's not playing along or "committing" to the bit. So by not going with the Exercise's option A or B choices (shoot him or herself) the show set up at the start of the episode, her choice to fight him instead kills the payoff and gives him no out, forcing him to be more human to defend himself which is what he's trying not to be.
Just a theory though for this one scene, gun could very well be loaded.
