Only two things can really sink a ship: it's insanely unpopular (see, Mako/Korra from Legend of Korra) or the characters have no meaningful interactions. A ship's fuel comes from the characters engaging with each other. Pomni could end the show hating Jax's guts and married to Ragatha, but as long as they still have that connection people will be going "well it's possible". That's why showtime and funnygummy are nearly at the bottom of the Mariana trench. Bunnydoll is taking on a lot of water at this point too.
