I think the hate for this show has always been weird. It's just kind of a mediocre cartoon and nothing more. It being '90s extreme' is a complaint I see thrown around a lot but I remember most of the stories just being typical cartoon shit like the one with the crazed duck who loves his giant goldfish, or that military guy using gators for some evil scheme or whatever.

Never was! Admittedly, the writing was a weak aspect, especially in some episodes, but it was really enjoyable to watch. The comedy was on point.

That and the episode "All Hands on Duck" were episodes where Donald really had the main say and those are my favorite episodes, but my favorite episodes were Donald with his nephews like "The Really Mighty Ducks", "Phoniest Home Videos", "Can't Take a Yolk", "Ducky Dearest", "Nosy Neighbors" and "Captain Donald". Whatever Donald's nephews were, they still had the most understanding for their uncle, as he did for them and something that unfortunately we didn't see at all in the animation. Ducktales 2017 was supposed to do something similar, but it was quite disappointing. I wonder what the series would have looked like if they had used the QP version of Huey, Dewey and Louie.

Quack Pack isn't based on comics, but on classic shorts, but they still have more comic spirit than both versions of Ducktales combined.

Actually anon is right, Quack Pack along with Mighty Ducks was shown before Disney Afternoon was shut down, that's why they got a few episodes, and there was a plan not to show it, but they did. I know that Quack Pack was supposed to be shown in 1993 or 1994, but they moved it two years later. Otherwise, people also spat on the Duck Dodgers series, although Daffy turned out to be the best in his prime after the era of his classic shorts. It also had 39 episodes.

What's funny is that at the end of the Tasty Paste episode, the boys wake up from their dream, and then the fat merchant guy shows up and has invented Tasty Paste in real life. Huey Duey and Louie all flee from it in terror, but Daisy takes a taste, says the "My taste buds are doing the madanba" line, and then SHE decides she's going to bring it to mass market.

So the implication is there that, not only is Daisy still going to become a huge fatty from gorging herself on Tasty Paste, she might get EVEN fatter because she's going to be the one running the company this time around.

I don't know about you, but to me, Quack Pack has more similarities to Darkwing Duck than to Ducktales when you look at the characters and the humor itself, just without the superhero stuff (except in the two episodes of Quack Pack with T-Squad).

This is what I think:

>Their girlfriends and future wives are real beauties, but they can also be bitches sometimes, they also share the same voice (Daisy and Morgana)

Not entirely. She didn't know what Donald was doing exactly, so she thought Donald had gone off with someone else, so she took Dapper to make Donald jealous. That's usually how it is in the comics when she took Gladstone. She doesn't like Gladstone anyway. And that's how her character is. After she found out what Donald was doing, she forgave him and they got back together. That's what you get when you have a problematic girlfriend who has the wrong idea about you.

I agree that there should have been more focus on Daisy, but creator Matt Danner himself said that there wasn't enough time for all the characters and that the focus was mostly on Donald. Maybe The Legend of The Three Caballeros had more seasons, but Disney for some reason put that series into oblivion, until it was leaked online.

I'll be honest, Lucretia was already getting me simping but then the cherry on top is having Sally Acorn's voice oozing out of her beak. Honestly Dragaunus, Siege, Chameleon and Wraith on top of the stellar voice acting genuinely have utterly superb villain designs. Actually, the OG Ducktales already made Donald's nephews' personalities distinct, but it wasn't immediately noticeable because Donald's nephews looked the same. Huey was the leader, Dewey was the brains of the trio, and Louie just wanted peace and was afraid of dangerous things. The Ducktales episode "Duck in the Iron Mask" in particular showed this because Dewey hated being mixed up with the other brothers the most when people called him by the wrong name, so he wanted to stand out later and wore clown clothes just to feel different. He later realized that he was better with his brothers after all. Later, the Quack Pack made them totally different as if they were teenagers, but the thing is, they still felt like brothers and acted together as triplets, despite being teenagers.

This is well done and it really shows the difference between Quack Pack and the Ducktales 2017 version, although some would say that they just swapped their personalities, which is partly true. Although I'll be honest, it's not bad that Huey, Dewey and Louie had separate personalities in Ducktales 2017, but I don't like how their personality development was terribly bad, and they didn't feel like real brothers, especially as triplets. You can say all sorts of things about the Quack Pack version of Huey, Dewey and Louie, but there it was more natural for them to have separate personalities (puberty especially), but they still acted like real brothers and triplets, plus they understood their Uncle Donald more than the others. That's not the case for DT17. By the way, I've been reading newer comics and books of various versions (Area 15, Spookyzone, Duckscares and others) and I can only say that the personalities of Donald's nephews in those versions are more similar to Donald's nephews from Quack Pack than to the versions from Ducktales 2017, which I find quite interesting. Which means that Quack Pack has also influenced other media quite a bit (of course a little).

I don't see what he has to do with this topic, except that he's named Huey. Speaking of Huey, Dewey, and Louie, they were named after politicians Huey Long and Thomas Dewey, and animator Louis Schmitt. You have to understand 1930s American history to understand why.

It's easy to tell them apart. Huey wears red, Dewey wears blue, and Louie wears green. If we count Phooey, he wears yellow. Anyway, I didn't mind that joke about triplets looking the same and always swapping colors to make it easier for people to get confused, especially when they wear the same color together. Realistically, nothing for now because Disney doesn't care about Donald or his family as much as they used to. And that shitty Ducktales reboot has made me not see any stupid things they would do in the future. Even if a new Duck series happens, I don't believe they will use the DT17 version of Donald's nephews, but will make a completely different version, if there is going to be a change in Donald's nephews. For now, we are forced to see them only in Mickey Mouse preschool cartoons, the only thing I like is the new voice actress who plays them just like Russi Taylor before.

I don't know if it will happen, but if they were to make a movie for Donald Duck's 100th birthday, let it be a Donald Duck movie like A Goofy Movie, but with the relationship between Donald and his teenage nephews (like Quack Pack), it would really improve Donald's parenting reputation, but Disney doesn't want to because his voice is supposedly a problem.

So it all depends, I only read Donald Duck comics from Disney these days, because I know it can't let me down. All in all, Donald's nephews are some of the best Disney characters and the best boys for me.

Yes, they turned out really great as the T-Squad, even though they seemed more like a parody, but it was great to see Huey, Dewey and Louie as superheroes, which unfortunately you don't see much of in animation. Only in the Ducktales episode "Masked Mallard" and two episodes of Quack Pack were they superheroes, which is pretty sad. Although, in the comics they are more often superheroes, but I don't like when they are presented as Q-Galaxy, I like them better as little Duck Avengers, as role models for their uncle.

In my headcanon Huey, Dewey and Louie (I mostly take the QP version since that's the only version I can imagine them growing up in) because of their different personalities follow in their uncle's footsteps by taking on his uncle's secret identities. Huey becomes like Double Duck, Dewey becomes like Maui Mallard, and Louie becomes like Duck Avenger. That would be a great team for the new T-Squad. And they could team up with Gosalyn from Darkwing Duck, and she would be Quiverwing Quack or the new Darkwing, depending on the situation.

Not that I'm complaining, but I'm really unhappy with how Disney-Marvel comics only promote characters from The Sensational Six to be superheroes, and not the others, as if the others don't exist. And realistically it would be much better if they gave other characters to be superheroes (and super villains too) as well.
