I'm actually hyped for this unlike tadc and all the other indie slop glitch and vizie make.

I want this to be good, but the lack of male characters other than the older eye patch guy and the main antagonist turns me off a bit. I love the concept of a corporate owned space colony that barely keeps afloat financially by means of a theme park with a dark underbelly. Also I find the princess mascot being a cyborg mind slave standing at six feet tall with big titties very appealing. Hopefully the writing is decent.

I actually like the lack of male characters because Dana doesn't know how to write male characters so the few of them there are the better chance this has to be successful. This might seem to be a backhanded compliment but Tolken didn't know how to write female characters and his work took off because he stayed in his wheelhouse and only made the males prominent. Here's my theory about the show

The princess is real. She's magical and was discovered by that Walt Disney expy who instead of appreciating her magic, used it to create the massive theme park/city and populate it with mass-marketed robot copies that live off the princess's consciousness, while the princess herself is locked away in that tower full of machines that run on blood and fear. The MCs find her consciousness inhabiting that busted robot and they have to try getting her offworld before she's found and reimprisoned

None of the Owl House promotional art showed any of the male characters besides King (who was an unnamed unconfirmable animal mascot at the time) until Season 2, and even then they were just very small and in the background. Yeah, that was the general feeling a lot of people got when Owl House was introduced as a "DTVA horror", as if Disney would have let them do anything beyond "spooky family horror". We did get some cool designs in season 2/3, which probably contributed to the show getting cut down.

Gravity Falls ran into a lot of S&P shenanigans as well, but it was primarily a mystery comedy, while Owl House leaned much more heavily into wanting horror to shine through. KOG's trailer is making me think this is an extension of what the artists on Owl House wanted to do, now with an older audience in mind.

Yes.The whole time. Don't get me wrong, not every artist out there has an amazing idea, but quality shows could exist if different pipelines were available to support them. Glitch is doing the right thing. They find people they want to work with, offer them the chance to do whatever the fuck they want, offer resources and manpower, and let the artist do what they do. So far it's been a winning formula and I hope corpos will notice.

Glitch shows only last one season. Some artists are at Glitch for years while others only fill in on an assignment here and there. The same goes for mainstream studios and shows. Some people work through several seasons while others only jump on board for an episode.

You also seem to have a skewed perspective on how long it takes to work on a season of animation in the mainstream. 3-6 months might be how long it takes to release the episodes, but production tends to start about 3-5 YEARS before you even hear that it's happening.
