In theory yes
But in truth many double down so hard in sports they want and end up fucking up any prospects outside of it because the scholarships are so competitive most would want to stay in that lane. And dubiously, many schools will let players slide in academics to keep them playing because college sports is a business. . Even players who made pro but couldn't last end up working dead end jobs because they focussed so hard on sports they weren't ready for anything else.
The problem is most people associate art school with painting abstract portraits or something, and not commercial applications for art. A big name school like SVA isn't necessarily just letting students do whatever, most programs are aimed at applying art towards careers and making art that's actually marketable and workable. There's definitely students who do fail and ones , but by design a place like SVA, CalArts,RISD, Savannah, are not your Devry or Gibbs P2W local art school

This truly might be one of the dumbest takes I've ever seen. All of the shows you listed either came out or had sequels which released after Adventure Time. Korra and Omniverse came out in 2012, Thundercats came out in 2011 and Young Justice the same year. And before you try to claim those shows downfall somehow was rooted in AT, no it wasn't. Omniverse had 8 seasons, Korra got canned because general mismanagement but still got 52 episodes, and Young Justice came back twice, with the most recent revival happening in 2022. The only one who really got screwed was Thundercats but that's not because Le Calarts it's because Chima: The Lion, the lego cartoon, was cheaper and CN screwed them over.
Claiming that this is all AT is fucking stupid, it doesn't even make sense. We were still getting action cartoons till the mid 2010s by the time AT was already in a slump. By this logic all the cartoons we were getting in the early 2010s wouldn't have existed.

I think people who liked the after ~Season 3 direction the show took wanted more of a lore heavy, world building, character driven show whereas my ilk preferred like the more whimsical off beat jokey heavy direction.

The whole "Kill the chaotic neutral ant" gag in the Enchiridion episode was some of the funniest cartoon dialogue I had heard in recent memory at the time, up there with some of the best spongebob moments imo. Contrast that with the more drama laden vibe the series ended up taking it never hit higher than a mid episode of avatar to me.

Some who know they can't turn pro will focus hard on academics and some will make fucking sure they graduate purely for bragging rights when they turn pro to say "I'm not just a dumb jock". Meanwhile there are also a ton of kid college athletes who after they spend time in the majors, go back to college to finish and will save their pro money to facilitate this move.

As for likeness issues, it's long been held that the college has every right to fuck over student athletes because they are getting a free ride and a decent number don't even finish because they turn pro first chance they can. It sucks for the player, but the argument has long been that getting fucked over financially by the college is a price to pay to basically take scholarship money that could have gone to a nerd or random Joe nobody.
