It's not a good sign when the A plot is much worse than the B plot.

The joke is that she's this action heroine, and they never really developed that joke very well. There are some nice scenes about her daily life, and her introductory episode is really good, with the writers talking about shipping in the fandom. But why her? That's the fucking curse of casting "celebrity" voice actors for long running animated shows like Adventure Time, where their busy schedules are nightmares to work around. It seems like nearly all of the major AT recurring characters voiced by celebrity actors/singers/comedians have had to be replaced at this point. Both Gary and Huntress Wizard are on their THIRD fucking voice actors. Prismo's og voice got replaced (but is back this season). Marshall Lee got replaced. Betty got replaced, etc. I would rather animated shows just cast dedicated career voice actors, so they don't have to deal with this constant recasting bullshit.

I was so god damn disappointed when it was announced Jenny Slate wasn't returning as Huntress Wizard, since her raspy nasally voice was perfect.
