One of my friends even goes into office during his days off. I'm personally not a NEET, but I have quite a bit of control over when and how long I work, and most of the time I don't get to work much because I'm so busy with other personal projects. When I was a kid, my mom always taught me that there is no such thing as boredom, that the world is full of things to observe, learn, create or appreciate. If you're bored, it just means you're not fully engaged and you're waiting for stimulation instead of looking for it, or you're looking for it in the wrong places.

it's so tricky building healthy habits. /fat/ty here I started back in april and current routine is
>dumbell overheadpress
>lateral raises
>lat pulldown machine
>assisted pull ups
>bar rows
>vertical chest press machine
>flying press machine
>standing bar curls
>assisted dips
And
>leg extension
>lying leg curls
>leg press
>squats with bar
>crunch machine
>leg lifts
>planks
>supermans
I do the former twice a week and the latter once a week and I do everything with 3x10-12 sets(I go heavier once I can do a 12 reps on all 3 sets).
Any suggestions what I should add or change out.
I recently added the dips and supermans and switched out seated machine rows for assisted pull ups, but I want to see if I could do more to improve my routine.
I was also thinking of doing full body 3 times a week instead of 1:2 split.
I am also struggling with curls so I wanted to maybe add another exercise to improve that.
6"1 and my goal is to be like 207 lbs with 15% body fat if that helps.
Any suggestions?

But I guess it was just wishful thinking.

>>76374924>surprisingly so seeing as it came from AITo be fair I just went to a tdee site and tried shit out untill I got 2500 sedentary tdee on a lower end bodyfat and then asked AI if it was a realistic goal to set for myself, but I am sure it could come up with a similiar estimate if I just asked it.
>>7637494110, 10, 10 as of now
I could do 12×3 with 20, but when I switched to 25 I could only do 8-9
Now it's 10/10/9-10.
What usually happens is that I do 2 sets with 10 reps, but during the last set I will fail the 9th/10th rep and after like 10 seconds of rest I try to push out one last rep.
It doesn't hurt anything I just don't have enough strength left to lift it up.
>>76374959you've got a few options
drop the weight and do 15 reps on each set
for 2 workouts then replace one set with the heavier weight like so:
do first set with old weight for 12 reps then for the second set go up in weight do as many as you can and then for the third go back to the lower weight and do 12 again
do that for a workout then swap the third set for the higher weight also for a workout
then do all 3 with the higher weight
might be overkill but it really should work
you're a beginner so I doubt a deload will help
you could also try pushing past failure with cheat reps or pausing at the end and trying to do another rep like you described
also if

Basically i want to be a marathon runner but look like a greek god, i've just had to accept i can still achieve these ideal ratios but the big number say a 16 inch bicep probably will be a 15 inch bicep but i can still have good ratios. I've just found endurance to be far more useful for me and strength never does much to help me, so i mainly train with weights for aesthetics and focus on endurance. It took a lot of soul searching to basically forego all my training, but i feel more at peace which helps stress and simpler goals means i can do more hobbies such as golf and guitar for instance.i also enjoy hiking which isn't really a hobby but alas

>>76384491The time is passing either way. You’re either getting closer to what you want to be or you’re not. On some level you understand this, or you wouldn’t start, or strive at all. There aren’t any magic words to make you do what you know you need to do. It will always be a choice that you have to make.
>>76384491I'm currently reading Atomic Habits and it's been a few chapters since I read that part so I can't accurately recall it but the author argues against being motivated by goals. I think the argument is that if you fail to meet them or make little progress towards them then you will feel unmotivated, and if you meet them then you have a 'now what' moment and lose steam. What you should instead do is to fall in love with the system. There is nothing wrong with having long-term goals like "I want to live in a house by age 30" or "I want to bench 225 for reps" but the methods (system) you use to get there shouldn't be considered an awful grind that you have to endure, you should enjoy it.

>>76383019its a very easy way to burn extra calories it can be hard to fit enough enough protein and fat in your diet on a low deficit. Walking 10k steps adds an extra 400 calories with little to no risk of injury. its basically the minimum though you can do whatever you want ride a bike, swim its just the bare minimum. Like your weight lifting burns 400 calories and your run probably burns more, you should probably track these numbers calculate how much protein and fat you need and how many carbs you think you need and you'll find you probably need to burn like 500 calories a day to fit those macros in

It's important to recognize when you've done well.
Tuesday and wednesday I messed up getting up early for two different resons both of which were my fault.
Now I could've spend the last two days and today beating myself up over that OR I could recognize what I've done wrong and fix it.
Which I have done, I awoke at 8:30 and got up 5 minutes later, then I realised that I should recognize and point out that I did what I wanted to do and that I've achieved success in this thing.
It's easy to dwell on your mistakes and failures but unless you learn from them and fix them next time you're just wasting your time.
It's hard to be positive and feel good about successes small and big but it's always worth it.
>>76388020Good one anon. It's also important to have that perspective if you're going to the gym, have study goals, job goals, etc. What's most important of all is consistency but not perfection. I'm doing a PPL routine now but don't really like it which is why I'm asking for recommendations here

>>76386246Just fucking take your leave.
Your company will either do fine(illustrating your neurosis is unfounded) or flounder, in which case they deserve to fail based on free market principles, since your bosses didn't plan the biz well enough for an employee to take his leave for recovery
You don't live for your boss, you wage for your boss, and live for yourself. Unless you're being paid ridiculous amounts of OT which justifies risking your health for work, you're a retarded goyim cattle faggot.
Best of luck

I've been doing NoFap NoPorn and I think it's going to stick this time. I've tried it innumerable times in the past and it's never worked beyond two to three weeks. I've always wondered how I can want to quit so desperately in my logical, rational mind and end up relapsing regardless. I just got done reading the **sy ***sy **thod hackbook (try sending a post with its full name and you'll see how deep the rabbit hole goes) and I believe it's cured me.
I've always thought of the addiction as "I like looking at naked ladies and anime babes too much and just CAN'T STOP!" The real addiction is that your lizard brain is addicted to the chemicals triggered by the supernormal stimulus of pornography, and will lie to your logical mind however it has to in order to trick you into continuing to get it high. Whenever you decide to quit porn your junkie lizard brain immediately starts whispering the illusion that it'll be difficult to stop.
The central idea of the book is to internalize that you're giving up nothing and sacrificing nothing. It's only difficult because your addict lizard brain is telling you it is, as soon as you dispel this illusion it has no weapons. There are no withdrawals in the way we commonly think of them. The "withdrawals" is your lizard brain lying to your rational mind that you need porn to relax, or to make sure your dick works and you're still straight etc etc. If you ignore its lies your junkie lizard brain will heal.
It's just like in The Matrix, "there is no spoon." It's not until Neo believes the video game world is an illusion that he gains power over it.

how do you balance wanting to improve yourself while not falling into self-hatred? Like I want to get better at stuff and fix my flaws, but I also don't want to constantly hate myself for not being there yet. How do you accept where you are now while still pushing to level up? Any of you figure out how to do self-improvement without the constant self-loathing?
>>76379081I learned to drive at 30. Start small, just driving in a parking lot. Go to a quiet rural area and drive around. Then drive around in town, then get on the freeway. Some tips are if you start feeling nervous or uncertain you can always go slower and take your time. You WILL make stupid mistakes, just use them as a lesson learned and move on. Even if you do really stupid shit, other people generally will be paying attention enough to avoid a collision, but don't always bet on it. Do your best to spot and avoid reckless driving in others and don't let your emotions get ahold of you if someone cuts you off or is tailgating or some shit. But yeah just go out there and do it, your skills will improve over time.

>>76379081>>76389931Man I leaned to drive at 26, which was 7 years ago. And I haven’t gotten behind the wheel of a car since. I’ve literally never driven a car on my own and only driven one like 5 times period. The biggest mistake was not having a car when I got the license. I got the license then didn’t want to go through the shit of buying a car so I just never did. And I’m still regularly scared when I’m in a car. I drove with a few people I know a few times this past month to some activities we were doing together, and the guy driving at 80+ mph on the freeway scared the shit out of me. And we were also in a winding mountain round and he was driving with one hand

>>76392333I think everyone has different definitions of making it. For me, it’s being strong and having a happy wife and kids
>>76357800 (OP)I'm a fat fuck who gets a decent amount of attention from girls. Lemme explain what I've learned:
Girls don't see aesthetics the way men do. It's not about the size of the muscle, it's about how the muscle gets used. The short version is that posture matters, so engage your lats and puff up your chest. Keep your hips straight and your lower back neutral. No slouching or leaning back. The long version is that different muscles carry with them different feelings, and this plays into your proprioception. The more you can imagine how you can move through a space, the better. Essentially, girls don't have any understanding of physical space or spatial reasoning, so instead they watch how men react to their surroundings to get a feel for what's going on. Think of them like dogs watching their masters while taking a shit: They need you to signal that everything's OK for them to feel comfortable being vulnerable.
Personality is another big signal for this kind of thing because if you feel comfortable enough to open up, then so will they. If you're clamming up, they're going to wonder what's wrong. This is why a small guy feeling uncomfortable can actually have more success with girls than a big guy feeling uncomfortable: If the strongest man in the room is scared, then something is definitely wrong. However, personality in words is insufficient. Your body language is the biggest expression of your personality, which is the problem fat guys usually run into: If you're a tubster like me, then odds are the fat is dampening your body language so much no one can read it. You need to be strong enough and willful enough to push through the dampening if you want girls to pay attention to you. The basis of your body language is your legs. Girls won't 'mire your legs like your arms, but they will absolutely notice your legs are weak in your body language. Best starting advice for tubsters who wanna date is to walk a lot and do squats.
