Which one you all using?
For me it's Android TV with SmartTube and Projectivy launcher
I would rather kill myself than use Firetv again

So I guess you just need whatever hardware like a USB for it?
I have a dumb TV I'm trying to watch stuff on without having to go thru the PS5 because it's super clunky

Used to be Roku, but switched to AppleTV.
To further the "ecosystem," though my Roku model was getting old and sometimes buggy.

Plex on Apple TV 4K

I really hope that Plex doesn't fuck up the tvOS app like they did the mobile apps.

I've been using Rokus since the early days. I may get an Apple TV at some point if I ever switch from Plex to Jellyfin since Infuse is apparently the only compatible TV app that isn't shit.

No since Google is worse than Apple and doesn't allow you to randomly host a Chromecast server.

Fuck me, I thought I was the only one, it's been 2 months and I'm going insane.

>retarded home-assistant integration through Google Cloud that takes a year to setup
>can't host a Chromecast server (???? Who said Apple was closed??)
>motherfucking delayed notifications, messages coming 40 minutes late
>no serious context aware note/task app
>keep & tasks look like fucking dogshit, most apps do
>people don't pay shit so most new apps come on iOS first and Android second if ever
>no tap to top bar to scroll up
>can't grab scrollbar
...

This isn't half the shit that pisses me off.

When the Air comes out I'm getting it asap if I don't blow a fuse before, I don't care about muh battery thicc style chocolate bar phones that's for androshitters who have SOCs that guzzle 200W idle, give me the iPhone 7 experience all over again please.

Bump.
Iโ€™ve got an old-ish Amazon fire stick, how can I uncuck it?
Iโ€™ve got prime, for reasons, so Iโ€™d like to be able to watch that, but that it fucking starts to auto play trailers really sucks.
And Iโ€™d like to be able to watch YouTube on it, but on the official app? Hell no!
Also, their App Store is atrocious, canโ€™t find shit. Can I just sideload apks?

Yeah, look up how to install Downloader and how to use it. Install SmartTube, it's Youtube without ads
Unfortunately Amazon has Fire TV so locked down you can't change the launcher to stop seeing ads and stuff but in your settings you can change it so trailers do not auto play and isn't are just a picture, it's better than nothing
I'm actually returning my Firestick because I didn't realize how locked down it is. Android TV lets you use a different launcher

I got a Roku for my parents but I don't think I'd get one again. There's no actual IPTV player, it doesn't have a browser, etc. I block the ads through OpenWRT's DNS adblocker package, so they aren't a big deal. Overall I'd say it's a very meh purchase to buy something else if you want a web browser or IPTV support.

Jellyfin on Chrome on the iPhone
Jellyfin on Chrome on Windows
Jellyfin on Firefox on Arch Linux
Jellyfin on Firefox on XShitbuntu
Jellyfin on Firefox on Debian
And if I'm at a hotel, I just use an HDMI cable from my arch laptop.

Apple TV. Gotta say, it's a fucking mess. Two home screens, apps AND channels, Up Next playlist that only most apps plug into, glitches and performance issues everywhere, severe UI inconsistencies all over the place...kinda weird that this came from Apple of all companies.
