I never bought their battery banks. I had a shitty Soundcore Flare 2 that would turn off if you had the volume too loud, even on a full charge.

I had an Anker dock from work, the piece of shit would overheat and the monitors would start glitching out and lose signal. Eventually the dock just straight up died.

Anker makes shit products. They look good on paper, they might even work good for a short duration, but eventually they either die or malfunction.

Before I moved out of my last apartment, I put an entire Brother color laser printer down the chute. I got it for free and used it for nearly 15 years. The paper tray was no longer functional, and manual feed would always introduce weird toner smears on the backs of paper.
The amount of time required to disassemble it down to the broken $30+ plastic gears simply wasn't worth it. I had to completely break off the front half of it to get it in there - I shed a tear for my old nigga Holhol, he was with me through high school, undergrad, my first job, and grad school.
The larger back half was so fucking heavy and hit the garbage below with such force that some of the pieces that broke off on impact bounced back up higher than the 4th floor chute opening they went in from. Thank fuck it didn't get stuck in there.

Fast charging is also a good way to reduce the life-time of the cells inside your power bank. But who cares, we produce lots of junk to fill the land-fills so the next generation is even more fucked than they already are, right?

I'm the odd one out. I manage a farm/ranch. Sometimes I'm out all day or night farming, working cattle, or whatever else I'm doing. if I'm stuck in a tractor baling hay, plowing, etc, all day or night I use a power bank because my tractors are older and only have cigarette outlets. Power banks are more convenient for me than other options.

Just look at any datasheet of lithium ion batteries.
I'm not your butler, google it yourself if you don't believe me.
Do you think Android would have different charging modes if fast charging didn't have any drawbacks? Charging generates heat and doing it rapidly makes things worse due to the higher charging current / voltage.
See AI slop that summarizes pretty much what I knew about this topic.

Some "higher-end" phones will not charge if you are not using an official charger.
I am not making this shit up. They claim it's to protect the phone (and they are not that wrong; some stuff with built-in USBs is ridiculously bad, specially those USB charger built in walls)

Name one (1) phone that does this. You sound like the fucking person at the verizon store that told my parents they needed to buy a new charger for their new samsung phone. Well it turns out the phone charges literally just fine on a fucking 10 year old ghetto amp usb adapter. Slow charging is infinitely better for the device anyways, you only NEED fast charging when you NEED it.

My coworker charges his from his work computer, so most people are probably confusing it bitching and moaning vs. actually charging I would assume. The phone's arent negotiating a handshake to a damn wall plug, it's probably just noticing the current it is getting and realizing you aren't pumping 20 fucking amps of power into a small ass battery lol.

Bought a 10k mAh PowerCore in 2019 and don't go anywhere without it. Model number A1235 thankfully. I hate being beholden to nearby outlets, especially when I'm out all day and into the evening. Once I get a car I could charge in there, but it'll still happen anytime I'm in a strange country.
