Pic related is how unedited chroma handles text right now. So not perfect but with several rolls and manual editing you can get decent results.

Is accvid supposed to be used with cfg 1? I found that mixing it (1.0 strength) with causvid v2 (0.5 strength) at 4/8 steps with 50% cfg 6 and 50% cfg 1 makes it not work

Had 3060 ti 8gb. The 3060 ti seemed enticing because of gaming performance, and that was the only GPU available at Best Buy. Didn't think AI was going to take much of a hit, but turns out it's that much worse compared to 12 GB. Nvidia has been scamming since then. Eventually swapped it out for a used 3090.

Can't have this hobby with just 8GB. Trust me, been there, done that. Eventually gave up and got a 3090. The 5060 will be eating dust sooner rather than later. You will feel it when you get to Mistral or newer potentially good models that fit in 24GB, and with imagegen when you see what Flux (and now Chroma) can do compared to SD. You can however try a 4bit quant like SVDQuant, but even with that you are restricted and can't try anything new right away.

Also not just VRAM is a metric, but also CUDA cores. Turns out they out more on the 3090 than 3060 12GB etc... hence even if the model fits into your VRAM the speed is much, much slower than would be on 3090. Look up how many of those cores are on anything that doesn't end in a 80 or 90 for all generations, budget GPUs are pretty much significantly left behind.

It will only generate for the masked portion, but depending on your configuration you could be converting the whole image to latent space and passing it in, in which case even if the mask is small effectively the entire image is processed, slowing it down quite a bit.

Oh yeah, another issue with pulid flux. Face is same expression and angle as your ID, so it can't generalize that well. The SD version doesn't seem to have that issue so it's good for training LoRAs.

Nah, none of these in context LoRAs are accurate. Only thing that works well is the yet to be released Kontext, and we don't know how gimped the model will be compared to Pro, but even Dev of that goes a long way (think of how much accuracy Gemini 2.0 Flash gave you when editing, I think Flux 1 Kontext gives you more so by worsening it a bit maybe it becomes as good as 2.0 Flash if we're lucky).

Here's a screen shot. small things changed betwen photos, same with models. Last 2 photos I posted were with Flux, other were with SDXL and some LORAs. OH except the 2 and 3, those are also flux.

Impact's DetailerDebug (SEGS).
First pass on all detected faces at .4 denoise and 2 crop_factor.

Then after that manual detailing which consists of replacing the detector with a manually-painted mask converted to SEGS.

One-by-one for the girls' faces that were still messed up. I change the prompt every time to specify the hair, eye color and facial expression. In the .4~.6 denoise range, crop factor 2.

Then around ~5 faces at once for the background guys. Prompt was "6+boys, crowd", crop factor 3.

Do the various schedulers/samplers have their usecases or they all just do the same math a differrent way?

I have a 5090 and want to make loras for Noob vpred. How long would it take to make loras with a 5090 and has anyone tried with a 4090 as a point of reference?
I would preferably like to start a job at the start of my workday and have it done by lunch hopefully and then I can review and go about my day

Yes, the "MASK to SEGS" node autocrops and has the same crop_factor setting. This setting is very important, you want to learn how it affects the detailer.

This is how I do all my inpaint jobs, ComfyUI-Inpaint-CropAndStitch is cool but I don't know what magic Impact does but it gets me way more seamless results than other methods for some reason.

I added Cosmos-Predict2 LoRA training to diffusion-pipe.

This model is good, and early tests indicate it trains very well. Specifically in regards to how it responds to LoRA training, the 2B is nearly on par with Flux, and in some attributes (e.g. being "unslopped") arguably better than Flux. 14B is just flat out better than Flux. The difference between the 2B and the 14B is not actually that large, meaning IMO the 2B is definitely the standout model here.

I am a bit surprised people aren't talking about this model more. Not a single post on the stable diffusion subreddit for instance. The 2B is nearly Flux-level, undistilled, very trainable, with a permissive license that allows commercial use, and a small enough size to enable easy and quick training. As far as I can tell right now it has enormous potential.
