Sniped so I could add the template rentry to the OP under Bakery, but if it's unwanted, next baker can remove it. Also removed the link to the online collage maker since I've never seen anyone use it in the thread. Can add that back too though if you want.
>>105606874
You can just make a video collage yourself and add it to the start of the thread.

My brother gifted me his old gaming PC wi[h the following specs

> CPU: Intel Core i7-7700 @ 3.60GHz
> (4 cores / 8 threads, LGA1151)
> GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB
> Motherboard: ASUS PRIME H270-PLUS
> (LGA1151, DDR4, PCIe Gen 3, SATA + NVMe support, no OC)
> RAM: 16GB DDR4-2400 (2x8GB A-DATA)
> Storage: WD Green 120GB SATA SSD

What set up do you guys have and what set up do you recommen iI upgrade in order to effectively run local AI models on this? My budget is $500-ish with a little wiggle room.

>Vace FusionX + background img + reference img + controlnet + 20 x (video extension with Vace FusionX + reference img).
>Generated in 4s chunks. Each extension brought only 3s extra length as the last 15 frames of the previous video were used to start the next one.
https://files.catbox.moe/p9trei.mp4
>It's a basic native workflow, I've adapted it slightly with two samplers in series. I repeat multiple times and splice the results together in a video editor.
>Each generation is 61 frames. That's the sweet spot for me with 16gb vram as I generate at 720p. The workflow is easy: just take the last 15 frames of the previous video and add grey frames until you have enough, you take that and feed it into the control_video input on the WanVaceToVideo node. Vace will replace anything grey on this input with something that makes sense. I feed a reference image with the face and clothing into the same node in the hope of improving character stability.
>FusionX already has causvid and other stuff integrated. I have used causvid, and had some good results, but I had to muck about a lot with lora strength and other stuff - same with accvid, reward thingy and the rest... FusionX is pretty decent out of the box, although when chaining multiple video extensions the saturation can creep up. I try to compensate for this by desaturating the input video with the Image Desaturate node with strength around 0.45.

Your GPU needs at least 8GB of VRAM. With your current setup you're not going to have a good time.

You should have lots of storage space because any local image generation will have you start experimenting with different models and stuff. Plus the outputs can really start to pile up if you don't clean shit up.

Start saving up money! You may also want to explore the world of paid online generators and see if that's more your price range lol

Read the pytorch design philosophy
https://docs.pytorch.org/docs/stable/community/design.html#pytorch-design-philosophy

Then read python's
https://peps.python.org/pep-0020/

It's an issue that stems from Python being the most popular language with this kind of philosophy, so we are stuck with its performance constraints.

Heard similar report in the wild about lack of bad gens by increasing CFG to 5, so that's probably the effect it had.

I'm guessing doing so slops the model so I personally wouldn't touch it unless I want to gen anime. But maybe playing with that and adding randomness with things such as variation seed is the way?

A candid amateur photo shot on a cheap camera, the resolution low to medium. The subject of the photograph is an attractive 20 year old girl.
She is french, with pale skin, redhead hair and blue eyes. Her hair is voluminous, with a fringe.
She's a Roman slave, wearing a red Roman slave toga, which is a split-v style slave outfit. She has large breasts and cleavage, and her breasts hang low with natural sagging weight. Her thighs and legs are partially exposed.
Her body is covered with a very slight sheen of sweat. She is posing seductively, facing the camera. The setting is a bath house in ancient Rome. Marble columns decorate the area, and a large pool of water is behind her, with a fine fog of steam covering the area. It's night, and the lighting is dim and moody, with a few torches illuminating the area.
The details of the girls themselves (ethnicity, hair color, style, etc) are tied to a big wildcard prompt that I got an LLM to make for me, basically a bunch of nationalities with sub-wildcards for each one describing their common skin tones and hair colors. I use it for a lot of my gens, realistic and anime. Got ones for poses and outfits too but I didn't use them this time, just wanted basic Roman toga 1girl's facing the camera.

Yes! It needs ImpactWildcardProcessor to work though. There's a wildcard processor for forge too but I can't remember what it's called.
It's mostly for batch runs in chroma/wan, so it generates a different girl each time. Hair type is broken up into styles, followed by the fringe/part.
It favors European types since there's only a couple of non-Euros that I added. If you want more ethnicities or whatever, you just feed it into an LLM and tell it to expand it with whatever you want, making sure it knows to keep the racial/ethnic features contained to each group, unless you want blonde Chinese girls with blue eyes or whatever.

Same, I used to use something like that in SDXL realism models to get around the same-faces (random name+country of origin). You don't seem to need names with Chroma, the faces are pretty diverse even within races, but it probably wouldn't hurt either.

Don't suppose anyone has ever had any success making (lewd) videos on 8GB VRAM? I seem to be able to get something to gen with the rentry guide at least, but it seems to be incredibly difficult to actually prompt the girl to do any porny motions, I'm assuming because there isn't enough memory to complete any of the refining tasks. Best it spits out is just her sorta writhing around a bit.

Ask yourself why the guy behind Pony is giving charity to the furry behind Chroma. Helping a fellow furry out? Hell no, he's throwing anywhere between 30-50K worth of free compute lodestone's way. More likely is because v7 is a total wash and he's banking on finetuning v8 on Chroma the very second it's done training.

If this is the case I hope they cooperate and ditch furry data for the remaining epochs. Get basic anatomy right, train more traditional artists/styles, make sure it follows style prompts.

I've been genning sd models, wan, etc. in troonix for ages without a single problem.
I have dual boot (in separate drives), windows for gayming purposes and linux for everyhing else; since I updated nvidia drivers on windows I'm getting never seen before NaN errors and can't get a single SDXL, flux or wan gen that isn't a black image. I spent 2 fucking days trying to work it out with both gpt4o and claude opus4 to no avail. This is is in both comfy and a1111. It smells like a memory leak, but I can't pinpoint the problem and fix it. Even reverting to older drivers in both OSs didn't work. Has someone ran into this kind of problem? Next step is a full OS reinstall which I don't really want to do.

How likely does this guy's guess for why Pony V7 has problems seem? Looking at the preview images on the Discord, the model, despite all of its training, still doesn't seem to have properly converged. I don't think it's a problem of it being AuraFlow because AuraFlow seems to output coherent images, unlike V7.

From my experience, I just went back with windows in the end.

I had your exact same situation. Linux on one drive and windows on another. Except in my case I could only create SD1 and 1 SDXL image at a time. I kept getting errors like "Kill" and it would lockup my entire computer. Spent a week looking for solutions, used ai for help with no luck. Sorry you had to go through that shit. kind of, yeah, there are more layers to it. something "caught in your net", like an ancient fisherman thing

"In her essays โ€˜Holes in the Soulโ€™ for CR Fashion Book, fashion historian Valerie Steele wrote, โ€œThe term โ€˜fishnet,โ€™ meaning a loosely woven fabric, was in use by the early 1880s, but The Oxford English Dictionary dates the use of โ€˜fishnet stockingsโ€™ to 1933.โ€ This timeframe makes sense, given the idea that most women did not expose their legs at all in public until the end of the Victorian era.

Others point to one of Aesopโ€™s fables from the 1900s which alludes to a similar style of modern day fishnets. In The Peasantโ€™s Wise Daughter, the king asks the peasantโ€™s daughter to โ€œCome to me not clothed, not naked, not riding.โ€ She solves the riddle by arriving in a fishermanโ€™s net."

yeah that's the nuclear option (going full windows). If I have a day off work in the near future I'll try clean reinstalling the distro itself and if that doesn't work, then back to windows it is.

I'm sorry anyone has to go through this kind of shit as well but it's part of the wonderful open source experience (it is fun, in a masochistic way). Thanks for replying.

Kinda strange, it didn't just start always correctly including her necklace for example when tagged but it also make the lora just "look" better and follow the prompt more accurately in other aspects . I think it must be because it can more accurately relate other things in the images in latent space now the image is better tagged.

There is no 'mid range' when it comes to AI. You need the highest quality components else you compromise significantly with speed and quality.

Here are the BARE minimum requirements:

128GB ram so you can offload as much as possible for torch compile.
3090, 4090 or 5090. 6000/H100 if you're rich. No other cards matter.
Optionally watercool the GPU's so it's not peaking at 60 ~65C.
1000W PSU because it's going to be using 600W on average. Best to have ample room.

If you can't do the bare minimum don't bother.

watercooling is a meme in general, blasting fans to the max of what you dont mind listening to, limiting tdp to ~70-80% and undervolting if you know what you're doing is easy and shreds temps while keeping most of the performance
and then big psu also isnt needed since you will limit tdp

Entirely depends how much you allocate to torch compile. The more the better.

>watercooling is a meme in general
Not at all. Water cooling maintains temps more easily despite ambient temps. I live in a hot environment so it's essential.

>and then big psu also isnt needed since you will limit tdp
I limited my GPU to 80% power and it still overall a ton of power is still used. It's best to be on the safe side. PSU's aren't expensive and they'll last 10+ years.

I agree with everything besides the ram and water cooling there is nothing wrong with being at a sustained 70-85 degrees for sustained activity that's normal for a ton of modern games and even then you can do a undervolt on a 5090 lose no performance draw under 500w and not see anything over 70 degrees.
64 gb of ram is also the top end for most usecases.
>>105610637

We need chroma to succeed for that push but we're getting better performance on lower end hardware. People are too comfortable with XL atm.
Weebs/furries have been the biggest driving force in this space

keep in mind that low vram cope cards are also slower so unless you want to wait a minute for an sdxl gen you better get a job for real. i'm about to start working everyday until I buy a RTX 6000. fuck this shit

Q8 Wan does and doesn't take much to the quality hit, I assume you only have 1 GPU and are swapping during that process, that's why it takes that long. Try using Q8 on the same seed to compare speed and quality.

I would not because the price is rape tier and it sets a bad tone for this space. What we need to figure out is multi gpu support for image gen like other models

Why do you think typical gaming operation temps will kill your card?
I only get it when you have issues like the 4090 and 5090 pulling too much power to get nothing done of value with the added risk of burning your older cable that was used in multiple builds. I feel like most of your opinions are made up

But who is claiming that? There's hundreds of LoRA's uploaded to Civitai daily. Some are obviously made by underage kids. No one is saying making a lora requires complex knowledge.

Making a GOOD LoRA definitely requires more knowledge than your average uploader, or atleast more effort. I am so sick of loras that bleed their style into my gens, or bleed the female's traits into the male. A good lora does what it's supposed to do with minimal impact outside what it was trained for.

I've used Q8 WAN and it did not take a few seconds on a 3090. Are we talking about the same thing? I'm talking about first time compiles, not when the model is already loaded.

It's pretty stable and there's zero damage or risk, what platform are you using?
You take 30 minutes to a hour to set it and forget it and just test your workloads after every driver update and adjust as needed. If anything as the software updates you will only see a change in being able to boost the memory OC for the 5000 series.
>>105610866
5090 is crippled in vram by design so you're only letting yourself get power crept for 6k+ cards. 16gb should be the pushing it range of high end, many of our tools were made by people using lower end cards

Agreed. I decided to explore image gen for the first time two weeks ago and the slot-machine effect is crazy. Even though I'm learning techniques to control my gens better, there's an amount of waiting and random chance that's like crack and I can see my self spending a lot of time on it if I don't get better self-control.

from the ldg workflow, maybe you are overfilling the VRAM to 23.5GB? In that case you can play with the virtual vram parameter at the beginning of the workflow when loading Wan, maybe that's the problem with you spilling in RAM, as your VRAM should never reach 23.5GB if you're using your GPU for other things on the PC, since it will lag out everything, including the generations.
