which balkan area?

I hear the downside is that if you leave the balkan center cities, the infra dropoff is massive. but it's OK if you're the type to just chill in your city and its nice area.

I live in southeast asia right now and I'd say that a high education/intelligence guy moving to SEA/balkans and offering remote work to 1st world is a nice niche. can compete on price while still living a great life.

in late 2023 i started my own company, where i made a nsfw visual novel with the help of a few guys that i commissioned (they weren't officially my employees) and made roughly 40k in sales. then the publishers took their cut, i paid taxes, and i was left with 17k. so, my question is, should i put this experience on my linkedin/cv? is it okay if i put my title as "ceo and cto", while in essence i was just the guy who programmed everything from scratch? i already have 5 years of professional experience doing low-level c++, so, will the inclusion of the company and the product i made in my spare time not kill my career growth? the nsfw part is sorted out, but will future employers respect me that i was a ceo and cto for 2 years who made a fucking kid's game? like, it doesn't look good on paper when everyone else these days is starting (and failing) ai saas companies.

You know what's funny? You can actually opt out of it by saying "no", unless it's your primary duty like for SREs or IT. It was an AI platform SaaS stsrtup where I was employee 18. Super well financed. They weren't making meme AI but rather a SaaS that lets you use meme AI workflows for common use cases or spin up meme notebooks and such basically, including for deployment internally or externally.
I was being paid 72k. I was required to move 5 hours away from where I lived for the job (it was in-person only) and I had 4 days to do so. No relocation bonus or reimbursement. Overall my moving costs were $5000 and I had to pay $2000 of airbnb before I could find a place. I was saving 1k a month in theory but because of leftover costs from breaking the lease Iwas actually negative 1k for 6 months and almost went bankrupt. When I got fired I didn't have enough money to make the lease until its end and it was impossible to sublease or lease transfer.

The company is still using some of my appa for demos and one of them is thr only featured demo app on their website. When they got rid of me they tried to replace me wirh other employees for 3 months, then gave up and wiped the rest of my team, even though before I left it was the most productive in the org according to the ceo and the commercial strategy was based around getting clients to use my apps asap to secure sales.

I am not the person you are replying to, but let me tell you, you are stupid and/or inexperienced.

the microservice approach is used best late stage when the need for scaling arises. before that, you only need to separate things which require an own service by technical, not domain reasons, for example an identity/user-management provider or search service.

domain cuts like market-service, invoice-service etc will be re-defined 10 times over before go-live anyway, the teams working on the features will change and the throughput (and thus scaling requirement) after go-live will change as well.

always start with a monolith and refactor it to microservices later on. if you want the migration to be flawless, use events within the monolith - later you just switch from internal to PubSub events.

ReactJS question:

Is the most common way of handling an append to a list of objects that you’re rendering to actually use a
attribute and put e.preventDefault() into the event listener?
source: https://www.w3schools.com/react/react_forms.asp

I’ve been writing reactJS for more than 5 years and literally never seen this in the wild. Usually, I’ve seen that you just don’t use and then you don’t have to do e.preventDefault(), right?

Asking because I recently saw this in an online technical screening interview.
Do any of you guys actually use and e.preventDefault()? I’m just mesmerized that I’ve never seen this in the wild before.

I'd rather he not fucking say it during our standup and try to loop it to me first so I can pre-empt something but no this bitch will always use our group meetings to be his drama little session. It's not like I even leave him on read or anything on the rare times he does take me aside to talk about this stuff but him always bringing it to the group especially in front of our VP grinds my fucking gears man.

>Boss
he sits behind me and anytime he asks a question, doesn't matter if im working on something he'll ask it. If I'm working on something he's not "aware of" like, he'll try to "feign" interest but it's more of trying to scope creep and try to make whatever I'm learning work more for the company. Like if I'm working on a new feature X that I haven't say anything about yet, he'll peak over and be like ohhhhh can it also work for Y,Z,A,B,C and I'll be like I don't know I'm just playing around with it then he'll leave it on my desk and I'll be like... you can just ignore his bitching if you’re not responsible for him.
if you are, tell him to make a JIRA ticket for it in the backlog — which inevitably gets deprioritized as shit that doesn’t matter. (or it goes into the allotted operational excellence bucket)
sounds like the dude is a junior that doesn’t lead any projects, so he just doesn’t get it.
this is an inevitable step in growth as an engineer. the next step is actually doing shit to fix problems instead of just complaining about them — actually that’s another feedback you can bring if he’s not doing that already: bring proposed solutions to the table when raising awareness of a problem.

you get to just create your own work without formally telling your manager?
even in the more bottom-up companies that I’ve been at, my manager always knows the projects that I’m on and I’d be asking for a smack down if I don’t take his input seriously.

This man was a grandpa, another coworker quit over his sexual harassment as well.

To be honest I can't stand faggots, they are predatory and push that shit on children, am a Muslim and believe they should be publicly executed.

It was probably for the best since I went back to programming, my childhood hobby, and ending up learning advanced math. Now I can build neural networks from scratch and apply high level math in a professional context.

Why is this whole nation abandoning God? I live in the most Christian part of the USA and all that faggot flag nonsense is taking root. What happened to Christians? Even the government and military promotes it now, the media and banks. It is like they are being taken over by Satan.

Anyways, that's my rant. Unless you land a sweet union gig or start your own business, a lot of tradesmen survive in poverty. Speaking from personal experience. Less than 1% of the human population can write code, think about that.
