I stumbled across this weird GitHub repo:

It's called "Godloop OS™" — apparently an operating system that installs itself recursively.
There's a .bat file called "collapse.bat" that says "Do not run twice",
a .log file with over 5 billion recursion layers, and an .exe that refuses to run unless your PC meets “minimum recursion requirements.”

README says: “You didn’t install it. It just started.”

No idea if it’s an ARG, a cursed tech joke, or something more.
Anyone know if this is just shitposting or legit deep schizo cyberart?

Out of curiosity I decided to look a bit more into the project before writing it off as some TempleOS wannabe. Taking a look at the github included in OP's post, I found the creator of the project, LoopArchitect. Nothing stood out to me at first--the project page included an iso for installing the OS, two exe files, and a batch file. All with vague, somewhat ominous descriptions of what they do. What I found strange was the fact that the creator's account had been made just 11 (eleven) hours prior. There's no way that a project made by a new account would quickly fly over someone's radar, not even 4chan's. OP must be samefriending. That's when I decided to go back into the thread and point it out.

When I looked back into the thread, I saw that a few other users had pointed this out already, What stood out to me were the replies to these posts. They both had a tripcode--that's a sort of username used on 4channel by beloved members of the community--that had the same name as that of the account that made the repo. What confused me was the fact that the two posts replying to the ones that called out OP for samefriending, had the same tripcode and contradicted one another. The first called they/them out for samefriending, and the second came out as the creator of the repo, but denied having made the post. How could the creator have known their project was posted on 4channel's /g/ board?

I knew there was something more to this.
