I'm implying the very opposite, abusive narcissist. I've consistently only ever seen artists complain about AI, but the OP in her post is implying that artists have been celebrating their irreplaceability all this time. It's valid to feel that way, but I also have a right to express my feelings.

I do not use this app, so I cant say for sure but just like 400k views on X can mean nothing(only the interactions matter), I would only count those who are not bots and added the song to their most used playlists, because there are too many investors getting impatient with AI and too many people willing to cheat to save their asses.

i remember a midwit friend of mine going like
>bro we should do this we'd make so much money
this sounds like that

there are already a lot of people who do the following:
1. get popular song
2. stem separate vocals
3. pitch them slightly
4. throw them into suno or audio to generate a 'remix'
5. upload it to spotify
this was from a few months ago

spotify make AI tunes so they can put those songs in playlist and dilute the number of songs which sends royalties outside of spotify.
spotify is going to be 30% AI music made by spotify in order to keep giving away money.
this is their stated aim. it is no great secret, just journos don't talk about it because they want to be invited to the next spotify party.

I never said there wasn't a jump or that it will not get better, I'm saying that it's not exponential, at least not in immediate short term as a lot of people have been saying for the last three years, that's why I cited image generation, which definitely didn't have the exponential jump it had before 2021/2022 in the subsequent three years of amazing leaps forward just around the corner.
The fact that now video generation reached a similar level to image generation and music generation doesn't necessarily mean that in a year you'll have perfect video generation cause there was a leap before.
Similar to when we went to the moon in the 60s and a lot of people believed we'd have androids, extra planetary colonies and flying cars by the 2000s
