How the fuck are you supposed to get a laptop if you have OCD?
Every laptop I buy has an issue that I cannot accept with my level of OCD.

I buy a laptop, it has a loud reverberating "coil whiney" fan.
I buy another laptop, it has inconsistent key sounds (really clacky alpha keys, etc.).
I buy another laptop, the touchpad is extremely laggy and unresponsive.
I buy another laptop, the screen has a fucking yellow piss filter even though it's "factory calibrated".
I buy another laptop, the screen response times are terrible (ghosting) despite having a high refresh rate.
I buy another laptop, the LCD hinges become weak and wobbly after a week of use.

I have wasted so much money buying laptops, being disappointed in them, and having to resell them at a loss.
Where is the laptop market so fucking shit?

No such thing as a perfect tool and it'll break anyways. Pour that OCD into whatever you're doing/creating.

Pick your battles. Solve the audio problems by wearing headphones.

Just get a desktop or good wireless kbm and external monitor. At least then you'll only suffer some of the time.

my shitty broken gaming laptop is very loud and shit

and before you repeat something you've read by a midwit online, know that macs are completely silent, ergonomic, unix-like, have the most responsive laptop touchpad I've ever tried and no inconsistent sounds.
There was a problem some years ago with their keyboards (butterfly keys) but they abandoned that.
And I will admit that the lack of ports suck. But considering every other positive I live with it.
If you need to game just download an emulator and play old bing bing wahoo and final fantasy or something. It's healthier than playing modern slop anyways.
THIS IS OBJECTIVE C IT IS WHAT IPHONE IPAD AND MAC USE FOR PROGRAMMING - based santiago

the market is in such a sad state, there's like... old used thinkpads... and macbooks... and that niche thing with a trackball that lacks performance

Build a custom desktop

or

since your complaints are mostly confined to shit that works better on desktop peripherals, USE desktop peripherals. I do because all notebook ergos suck and can never not suck due to inherent sacrifices smolness requires.

I don't care about my notebook keyboards other than that they function when I want them. Ditto touchpads (I've used trackballs since 1999), ditto hinges (which I choose wisely but don't wear out in the first place) or displays since muh battlestation provides.

I bought one of those $200 UMPCs with an intel <whatever nzillion> and have spent the last couple weeks pulling it out and trying to fix the artix install on it.

It satisfies the voice in my head saying I need a laptop but since I never go anywhere I don't actually need it.
