what the fuck?
>>105875965 (OP)The author is an autistic retard that refuses to implement displaying lyrics because he "only listens to instrumental music". I stopped using it that second. I suggest Gramophone. It's FOSS as well.
>>105876430>"Lyrics require severe technical complexity, far too much to maintain myself given that I will not use it"taken from the repo's wiki. holy shit man
>Gramophonelooks neat. thanks anon i'll give it a download

>>105876430unironically — usecase for displaying lyrics in your music player?
If you want the lyrics its simple enough to look them up. Why do you need your music player to also have this extraneous functionality?
>>105880354this nigga never heard of karaoke.
This used to be decent until the fucking 3.0 or 4.0 or whatever major version bump a few months ago. Now it takes like 90s to load my library and crashes randomly.
This is my complaint with like 90% of the libre android music players. You see in the preview screenshots these developers have like 10 albums to their name and I suspect little if any testing has been done for large libraries. I think it was Metro I tried where the thing literally shit itself trying to load album art as I scrolled down. I tried Musicolet too - not foss though iirc - it was good but the interface style didn't really gel with me, and if I remember the search was per-category rather than global.
I could literally go on all day, and I'm unironically planning to learn mobile app development just to try write a better music player.
>there are now n+1 shit music players
absolutely
