Not to mention that platforms suffer from ongoing enshittification, which means that watching old videos from backup drives might be unironically better than watching new content on an AI-infested website with unskippable ads every five minutes. I have a folder with 40 hours of a high-quality pop-sci show about space. I can imagine that in 20 years it will still be somewhat relevant, because while space is still interesting as fuck, the days of rapid advancements in physics are over. When I'm old and retired I'll just smoke weed and watch this over and over on repeat.
