File managers are just a front-end for these commands. Pretty much any file manager you encounter in Linux will have grep support.

And Dolphin uses ripgrep-all when you enter something into the search box.
So by your own standard, Mac Finder is decades behind, because it cant even do zip files. You are correct, zip files should be simple to search though, yet the Apple baby garbage can't do this.

As i sad, Finder is complete and utter garbage that nobody seriously would ever think is good. Doesn't matter how blinded you are. And Windows Explorer barely does Tabs.
