Steelseries Rival 3
Ok, so I bought this piece of shit 1.5 years ago and the scroll is dying. I have to scroll slowly for it to detect the actual scrolling which is annoying as hell.
Before this I had the original G502 with the metal scroll wheel but I dropped it and it died.

I need one with the reliability of the OLD G502 and its precision. I don't care about price but I want it to last 20 years easily while never failing me.

No, Razer, no Stealseries, no Logitech etc.

Any recommendations?

No, I'm a retard so I'm not soldering new buttons and shit.
Thanks.

Use this tool to compare shapes and dimensions
>https://www.rtings.com/mouse/tools/3d-model-shape-compare/endgame-gear-xm1r-vs.-steelseries-aerox-3-wireless-2022?overlap=stacked&texture=outline&alignment=center~center~end
I have aerox 3 2022 because it was discounted and fits my hand perfectly.
You should also use this

Instead of those bloated b.s. "drivers".
Anyways Endgame Gear is supposedly a good replacement.

I used to have a steelseries mouse too with the same issue, I ordered new scroll sensors for less than 5€ and changed thr dogshit default ones. Worked for many extra years before it was too worn to use.

To add; it actually still works well after 8(?) or 9 years of buying it. Had to test.

What you want doesn't exist. The only legitimate recommendations would be of mice that are 15+ years old that are known to stand the test of time. Good look finding a new, original one lmao. So the best option for you is to just get a new G502, get some replacement parts of which you will find plenty, and learn to solder some mouse clicks and scroll wheels from time to time. It's not that hard, and it's your best bet.

Do you have a tutorial for this?
Usually the issue is mechanical fault and not the sensors itself. i.e. you should change the wheel side connections or whatever they are called.

Zowie fk-1. Good mouse. I've owned two over the past 13 years. Had a few mice in between but none of then compared.

I remember supergluing something to hold better, might've even been the sensor to the wheel. Idk, was years ago and I tinker my shit plenty.
Like bro just search "mouse wheel sensor change *insert mouse model*. At most it's just wrenching that shit open and then carefully removing the old one and replacing it. Probably gonna take some bravery and patience if it's built like the old rivals, was tough to crack it open without breaking anything. But totally worth it! Saved a good load of € for like an hour max to seaech info, order that shit and install it.

Sorry I'm druncc

Seems like they don't sell wired mouses anymore. I despise wireless.

Thanks. Just a pre-emptive question because my wheel has begun to move on its own but it's not too frequent yet. At some point cleaning helped a little bit with that issue too.
