Disagree, there is budget, and there is "budget", and the devil is in the details, you could get 2 different 1tb SSDs on either side of the budget, they'll be using different modules on the inside, different controllers, with wildly varying read and write speeds, and longevity, the cheaper one could be using rejected memory, could die in a day, or a decade.

I have the PG32UCDM in the OP, and I've found VRR flicker to be a serious issue. In games like Oblivion Remastered for example where you can have quite dark nights, the flicker is extremely noticeable. I turned off VRR in the monitor (and turned off any vsync in Nvidia control panel), which stopped the flicker. and honestly, I don't think I can tell the difference vs VRR being on? This is supposed to cause frame tearing, right? Is frame tearing less of an issue on OLED due to the pixel response time or something? I'm looking for tears and I can't find them, even with a framerate that moves in a ~20 frame range.

"OLED care" is unadulterated copium to lure people into buying planned obsolescence for a premium. have you ever owned an OLED? brightness has never been an issue, if anything it's been a little too low but it gets better every year and the LG G5 now is insane in terms of brightness. you can't have HDR "always on", it will only work if there's HDR content and that's still relatively rare. intensity of burn-in mitigations is not really a thing either. you barely have any options because they know that some people are retarded so you don't give them the option to be even more retarded so they can sue you. you have to try really hard to get burn-in
