What's up with AMD driver???
I've been using the 24 version for a while now because I have a problem with the 25 version because for some reason, it often crash when I Alt+tab out of the video games, so I had to downgrade it to 24 version which fix the problem but now I have to upgrade it to the latest version for BF6 and the problem appears again.

These things move slowly. 12VHPWR was introduced much earlier and was field tested on RTX 30 series FE cards.
NVIDIA will re-implement the current load balancing safety feature if too many RTX 6000 Pro Blackwell cards end up with melted power connectors.

3060 was always a shit poorfag option, begin of the end for low end cards. If you want to keep using it fine, but you have no right to try and push your gay lifestyle on everyone else.

Hate to be the one to break it to you but the super refresh and 50% increase to vram is going to cost you. Even if the msrp isn't increased, Ai niggers will snatch them up and you'll have to pay like $1500 for a 5070ti super. You could just buy a card now (while they're easy to get at or below msrp depending on whether or not you can drive to a walmart) then again 4 years later for less than that.

>Thermalright has expanded its HR-10 2280 Pro SSD heatsink series with the new Digital variant, available in white or black. The key upgrade is a digital display that shows SSD operating temperature, sequential read/write speeds, or drive utilization. This requires a USB header connection to your motherboard and the Thermalright Control Center (TRCC) software. The new HR-10 2280 Pro Digital measures 90.3 mm x 26 mm x 51 mm, making it roughly 16% taller than the original due to the display addition. Beyond the ARGB display, Thermalright has kept the integrated 30 mm 12 V PWM cooling fan in the middle of the fin stack. The heatsink features four 5 mm nickel-plated copper heatpipes making contact through a mirror-finish copper baseplate. The design accommodates Gen 5 SSD standards, ensuring future compatibility. Pricing is competitive at $19.36 in the Chinese market, just $3 more than the regular HR-10 2280 Pro ($16.90 on Amazon).

The Dawntrail Benchmark isn't up to date, because well it never was. It wasn't even up to date for the expansion launch, which was over a year ago. It was in the middle of the graphics update and used an earlier build.
Whatever performance fixes AMD/Square has done has been for the actual game, not for the benchmark.

You can literally create free accounts and run in a circle in one of the cities without any fear of dying or anything. It's not like the problems HUB showed with trying multiple benches in a online fps beta where you can't choose any variables.

Does the typical shitty riser cable fit into a PCI-E slot that's covered by another GPU?
I'm building a server and the layout of this retarded server mainboard makes it impossible use the second PCI-E slot if you have a 2HE GPU installed. My only hope is to squish a riser cable into it and somehow put the other card I want to install below the mainboard. There's enough space for that in the case if I can fit the riser.
However, the connector of all the riser cables I can find seem far too chunky to fit under a standard GPU unless I'm mistaken.
I can't put the GPU itself outside its slot because I lack the space even with a longer riser.

Tandem OLEDs comes closer to narrowing the color gamut/volume gap with QD-OLED but still fall short. The only use case where they make sense is if you have a viewing setup that you can't control ambient lighting in. Or there's a model on sale for cheaper. The only things in the near-future that might be worth waiting on are true RGB OLEDs from LG supposedly beginning production at the end of the year or by TCL CSOT which is still at least a year or two away. Also 5K QD-OLED next spring if that's your thing.

Correct. LG sort of cheats with their separate white subpixel to juice their nit numbers, but in real content with additive RGB/CMY color is more fluorescent and pops more thanks to the saturation levels and their interaction with the human called the Helmholtz–Kohlrausch effect.

https://tftcentral.co.uk/articles/exploring-oled-brightness-improvements-woled-vs-qd-oled-and-the-need-for-new-metrics-and-specs

The first Tandem OLED monitor review out of China was posted a week ago (turn on CC-translated Subs):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kbAzQGvsA0
It's not the silver bullet we were all hoping it to be (personally I think it's a half-measure until they can ditch the White Subpixel and full RGB but that might not happen until they can get a Blue OLED material that will live for a reasonable amount of time).

You can also see a color brightness breakdown the latest 2025 WOLED & QD-OLED flagships whose panel tech gets repurposed for monitors here:
https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/lg-g5-oled-vs-samsung-s95f-oled/88601/88596#test_620
WOLED has the edge in white but even the new tandem panel the G5 uses still loses to QD-OLED of the S95F in literally every other color.
Also though it isn't mentioned enough, LG's WOLEDs have worse panel uniformity for some reason.

>so they are finally ditching the fucking retarded white sub pixel?
Not yet, these current Tandem "Primary RGB" still use a white subpixel while LG is working behind the scenes to get a true striped OLED into production.
IMO adding RGB to the marketing name of their tandem panel updates is a scummy move that gives false impressions of what they've done which was to take the yellow OLED layer underneath the Blue from last year's panels and split it into two Red & Green Output Layers sandwiched between Blue Layers (so technically correct in the color layers but the subpixel arrangement is unchanged):

Wild sadly quite possible, their TV division's impetus to get off the White Subpixel isn't as strong as their IT/Monitor one that wants to go to a normal RGB layout as soon as is feasible and put the color fringing issue to bed for good. Also their counter-pressure on the TV side to retain the White subpixel for Highlight/Low APL % boosts to continue waging the brightness wars over HDR with Samsung. Without their White subpixel, WOLEDs would fall further behind QD-OLED in performance.

How many of you feel you’re in the same boat? I’ve come across a lot of people from my old tech circles who ended up doing similar things. Depends on the ssd, placement and airflow layout of your chassis.
A downdraft cpu cooler with the ssd next to the cpu, above the first pcie slot, you wouldn’t need a heatsink.
Anything in the airflow channel for a cpu air cooler in general is probably fine without one.
Anywhere near the lower pcie slots, under a gpu, close to the chipset, or just somewhere with no airflow, you want a heatsink.

For AMD curve optimizer in BIOS, what exactly is the unit of measurement for the offset? A negative value of 10 is equivalent to what? -10mv seems a little small, -100 maybe is right but then why is this setting's value not on the exact same scale?

arbitrary units of measure. i think it differs by cpu models, and possibly by individual silicon. on my specific 9800x3d, -5 CO translate to roughly -0.02v on the cpu under load and running -20 OC means the cpu runs roughly 80mv less voltage than stock

clock stretching is when the cpu throttles itself to prevent errors and crashing when it finds that the received voltage is much lower than what was requested. the reported clockspeed stays the same but the cpu skips execution on some cycles making the effective clockspeed and performance lower than what the reported clockspeed suggests.

I see, it's arbitrary as it appears then. I read that -20 on a 9800x3d is good for most of them as they are binned well but I have it as -15 just to be safe and because managing heat is what AIOs are for.

The effective cock section in hwinfo is what you're looking for.
I have no idea how cock stretching works or why i just know it's a thing.
I think as long as you're setting the voltage manually on Intel it shouldn't cock stretch, it'll just crash like you would expect.

whether -20 works or not depends on how much voltage margin is given to your cpu. good bins have naturally lower programmed voltage and on those cpus, -5 CO will still have lower voltage than -25 CO on a crappy sample

It's also happening to users who left ASRock's auto settings
It killed a few CPUs with EXPO disabled and everything set to stock board settings.

There might be some hardware issues that ASRock doesn't want to publicize.
They'd rather send out replacement boards or refunds to affected customers over a product recall.

SSD M.2 x2 (one for drive C + your windows, another one for gaming, you can do 500gb for drive c and 1-2 tb for another drive that's fine) or just get a big SSD m.2 and split their storage which is probably going to give you a room for upgrade.

I also recommend you to get at least 1tb of HDD SATA, and you're going to use this one to store medias and torrent although I recommend you to just get 2 of em

I do photography and so the only word of advice here is to store your photos to both cloud and your physical drive (that's when HDD come into handy)

I guess 1 HDD and 1 SSD M.2 would be enough for you because SSD really do help a lot when it come to tasks that require high read and writing speed.
