Of course. With AI, there is no reason to ask StackOverflow the same redundant question that is already in the API docs, or will never be answered by a human being because it's too esoteric.
Future training will come from the horse's mouth via GitHub discussions. Microsoft/OpenAI are going to own everything.

Good. They were real pricks.
I hope this happens to reddit as well so that redditors can feel like the worthless trash they are.

Good, it was almost impossible to ask anything to stack overflow
They wanted the question to be some sort of encyclopedic accurate questions instead of organic ones, like we help the site become an encyclopedia instead of the site helping us

I don't have an account, any question I could ever ask has already been asked, I just have to find it and that doesn't require an account
I'm not pompous enough to think that I've encountered an entirely new and unique problem, like I've discovered a new element

I never even tried to use that site because of the bad reputation it had
I don't even ask /g/ for tech questions now. I either get ignored. Get called some slur. Or 9 hours later get a genuine response that is wrong
I just use LLMs now when I have a question

>say that no, I'm aware of Y and it's not what I need to do here, it's X, if you know how to do X please answer the question rather than arguing
>response: HURRRR NO I WILL NOW ARGUE WITH YOU ABOUT HOW YOU MUST DO Y AND I INSIST THAT YOU JUSTIFY X WITH EVERY LAST DETAIL OF YOUR ENTIRE CODE BASE INSTEAD OF JUST SHUTTING UP AND LETTING SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO DO X TAKE OVER

Yes, right now AI gets about 90% of its programming answers from Stack Overflow but if nobody's asking questions/giving answers about the latest C#/Rust/React/Java/Python versions then the AI replies will start to become pure bs.
