The primary reasons was the changes one ui7 brought to the interface. It removed a lot of things I liked about android in an attempt to clean up the ui. There's a lot more UN used padding, white space, and less customisability than older versions of one ui. Among some of the grips was forced notification grouping, inable to change the order or remove moat of the things on the quick settings drawer, and the phone became super laggy on a15/oneui 7. There's no way to roll back because the bootloader updated, and moving to android 16/oneui8 will permalock the bootloader.
Secondly the update to one ui7 drastically changed the camera processing on the phone. All images are now over exposed by a half step, sometimes more, with shadow recovery on top of it making everything look washed out, and hazy and this applies to both raw and jpeg...the raw images are all post processed and baked before saving as well. After comparing photos directly taken between the s24 and my s10e the s10e has a lot less post processing, and generally results in a sharper, more accurate image.
The s24 is pretty much shit as far as I'm concerned.
