How do I deal with the upcoming internet censorship in my country (Britain)? I know about basics like VPNs. I've been reading about the Fediverse, is it any good? Been on 4chan over a decade and we'll be blocked soon.

bong here, by the time the fediverse/4chan bans hit us we will have began decentralized networking and you'll see a revert to web1-2 style websites etc in a homebrew/underground style, it's already happening if you frequent certain other forums - just keep your mullvad subscription up and use vpn until those times come, if you like music and media slowly begin curating a drive or two full of your favourites just incase ofc.

Why wouldn't they be? Fediverse is just Twitter clones passing links back and forth. It's not ebin dark web tech.

Buy VPS in US or Japan and use an SSH tunnel. Try to find one with IPs not marked as suspicious, which admittedly can be kind of hard, but it's easier than with a VPN provider.
