>2G
How is the weather in Zimbabwe, anon? Seriously, where do you live where 2g is still an option, in most places they removed 2g and 3g, the minimum is 4g lte, which they will also remove in the next years.

Smartphones are by design created to suck your soul, so you become a servant to the machine instead of the opposite.

>I like the physical buttons, the lack of a fiddly sim card tray (just a simple latch under the battery) and the removable battery.
For me (like you) it's not about a dumb phone or social media addiction (that's just a symptom of weakness) but it's about usability. I much prefer my old samsung gt-something that lasts for a week, physical buttons with a backlight, simple ui, replaceable battery, small and compact, and with all useful basic apps, than any modern smartphone.
They don't make modern smartphone to be useful, the predecessor of the modern smartphones was called a Personal Digital Assistance, now it's just a glass slab you waste your time on.
With the path humanity is walking I don't expect people to create a demand for a useful PDA, but the smartphone will get only dumber. So if you want something useful you will need to make it yourself(tm).
>Cameraphones are a meme, carry an actual camera, especially since that means having something that is ergonomically and optically suited to being a camera. Same goes for calculators and GPS. The camera doesn't need to do more than some basic OCR or datamatrix recognition even on a featurephone.
I think having one jack of all trades computer in your pocket is better than carrying a whole setup when mastery isn't required.
