>type in the exact name of a YouTube video
>doesn't appear in the search results
>have to search for the channel it was posted to and scroll down to find the video
Why is YouTube like this? I just want to listen to Cum Town clips.

Because the YouTube algorithm doesn't like Cum Town. Many channels that post Cum Town clips get banned.

Even YouTube knows listening to Cumtown is gay and Chinese

That show is for homosexuals, so this is a rare YouTube W.

The idea is that people were abusing the system by naming videos for what people were searching for, so you'd search for it and their video would come up even if it was unrelated, so they don't show up anymore, but the one you wanted also doesn't show up.
Fun fact: Google still searches youtube properly.
Try searching for Mario Party N64 OST on youtube, you can scroll and scroll and scroll and it won't show up.
Okay, you may get a playlist with the songs, but you wanted a video with them all.
Now, try google...
The relevant Youtube video appears as second result even without putting youtube or video on the query.
And the first result is... a place where you can download the soundtrack and listen to it offline, hey, not bad.
As much as I bash google it at least works for this, unlike youtube search.

a bunch of cumtown clips lost their age restricted status somewhat recently

Yeah, YouTube mess with those restriction criteria all the time, including retroactively. I remember an old song being age restricted because it contained words like torture and child. Then when I checked again it was no longer restricted.

He's more talented than the vast majority of comedians, and I'm not just referring to the impersonations. I'm afraid that if he becomes yet another podcast host, he'll just become boring and just go through the motions. He even said that Cum Town got boring after a few years and that they were just doing it out of inertia and for the money.

age restricted videos can be more or less impossible to find via the search function. the original video in pic rel has over 60 million views, yet is impossible to find via search.
it's weirdly inconsistent, probably has to do with whether the video has been flagged by staff or not.

Anons have been saying to use a different search engine (Bing or Google for example) to search YouTube for a long time now. I had no idea it was this bad. I tend to not be bothered by all the garbage YouTube throws into every search (stuff like "What other people watched") because I know that for now I can just hide all of that in a single click.

Stop spamming your schizo garbage.

Also, YouTube is currently going in the other direction, as is most of social media. They might revert everything should the Democrats win the next presidential election, but that's another story.

Yeah it's clear he wants to make a sketch comdey show or something similar. I don't know if there's any room for something like that right now, but if anyone can convince a network to give him money to make one it's him, because he'd immediately pull in a larger audience than most things on netflix.
