What are some good portfolio projects? Real ones, not some stupid weather app. I was thinking of making a real time multiplayer game website, like puyo puyo or something. Basically something like the site for the /v/ jiggy threads.

A game engine is the pinnacle of dev's abilities.
It can be used for anything if it's done right, retard.

But also extremely time consuming which is why it isn't a good pick realistically....

I was happy with featureset of mine after roughly 2 years in development but never stopped adding support for modern stuff, refactoring old shit and so on.
It's a nevet ending story, also is up to dev what defines production-reaady state.
