Why the fuck is Windows 11 suddenly not switching between audio devices when I select them? I got speakers connected via USB and headphones connected via 3.5mm, but it wouldn't switch between them.

I tried playing with the Realtek Audio Console and settings and nothing works. Tried updating audio drivers but it didn't work either.

You could have solved this problem faster by simply 1) restarting the computer 2) if that fails, reinstall windows from usb iso with rufus

and solved the problem much faster than all the trouble shooting you have done

OP here.

Turns out Apple Music was the culprit. Changing on the fly works fine on Spotify, Seems like I'd have to close AM, select the audio output, reopen AM every time. Might be worth it for lossless though.

Bluetooth on windows is a fucking joke. Every time I boot windows it steals the device from my phone even it I am actively listening to something and there is no way to disable this. So windows is not allowed to have bluetooth at my home anymore.

Rude. I only switched to AM because it has lossless. Not my fault Spotify still doesn't.

windows audio settings are shit if you overload it with having two different audio outputs and switching between them. total trash
