What are you guys using for local file read/write access for LLM on linux?
Somebody repackaged the shitty Claude electron app that is available for Windows, but that didn't work that great at the time. So I had to unpack the original, patch it, and repack it myself. Eventually got that working well enough in a GNOME desktop.
It works pretty great with MCP. Use a git project to make backups.
Is there a better setup? I found IDE to be too limiting in the past. I have had way more success with this setup.

Not that guy, but I personally have a different philosophy compared to most other people in that I believe that all instructions aside from a brief introduction to the overall task should be placed AFTER chat history.
The reasoning is that you want the instructions to not degrade into forgotten territory as the story lengthens, and it's not gpt3 days anymore, current LLM are smart enough to be able to deal with 1000 or 2000 tokens of instructions without forgetting where the story stopped at.

I really like using gemini and i'd like to pick at your brains for creating my own prompt.
I like things like kintsugi(for the css in dialogue) and nemo engine and celia.
But i dislike the way they are so bloated even if you can disable most of it, autism i guess.
What i want is use kintsugi perhaps as a base for me and develop a prompt that is based on first person but i am thinking about making it format as the old {{char}}: so it can speak in multiple characters as first person without getting lost or refusing to speak as other characters(as kintsugi without regex+adventure)
I also wanted to make a prompt about making it use css/html, i want something akin to kintsugi's coloring and funny animations but also i wanted it to use emoticons/emoji in dialogue.
I am not sure if there is anyone here at this hour to help me but i'd be thankful for any insights!
