I'm the anon who recommended you NAI. with it you can generally put a year in your prompt and it'll use a style from that era. you can also just use a specific artist, it knows a lot of them (also knows a lot of characters so there's a high chance yours is in there too)

I typically tend to ignore manuals. With neta, i don't even use the system prompt and i didn't notice any degradation in terms of quality or comprehension. I nearly recoiled from the model when i tried to booru prompt it like illustrious, because the results were ABHORRENT, but simply reusing my chroma prompts leads to absolutely insane results.

I still find it a bit complicated; I'm not sure how to prompt it, I mean, tags literally don't work. But I used Opus 4.1 to convert from tags to prose, and it was the pics I attached earlier that are relatively good. But reading that prose, it's very bloated, and it's very difficult for me, at least, to keep track of when it's embellishment and when it's factual information that serves the page.
Pic rel is the same tag rewriten prose, but done by GPT 5, which I find ugly.
This prompting thing is kind of quantum, to be honest.

Been testing the Neta model for a bit more.
My thoughts so far: the anatomy is relatively good. I haven't gotten any mangled hands or feet yet, which is a big plus.
The model also "feels" more dynamic and "intelligent" than SDXL

But the gens are kinda mid, not getting anything you would call a "masterpiece." My problem is that the devs themselves contradict their own advice on how to prompt it, and they put out this massive, unnecessary tutorial that doesn't actually help. It's a bit of a red flag.

It's also a "prose model," so there aren't any clear, linear paths for prompting. You're supposed to write sentences instead of using tags, which feels weird. Since it's not a huge community model like SDXL, there's almost no community knowledge or guides to look at.

IDK, I'm just want a smarter anime model. I'm curious what Neta's parameter count is (I know SDXL has 2.8B). I'm really looking for a model with a bigger brain that can use tags intelligently and give consistent gens without the usual messed up hands or feet

Testing Neta Lumina using HiRes FIX seems to have enhanced the outcome, particularly in terms of color and line definition, although it might just be the usual post hiresfix effect as well.

I’m not sure, so I’ll stick with my beloved SDXL, which has controllable and accurate dan booru tags and controlable and accurate Loras, until a new model arrives that is both directional and factual, yet also creative and expressive, similar to NovelAI but in a local format.

Whenever I do two-character gens, I do composites. I gen one girl separately, do a cutout of her in an image editor, paste her into the other gen, then inpaint over her to fix any cutout imperfections or lighting discrepancies.
