I need a new mouse.

How good is this mouse really and the longevity of it? Kind of weary dropping this much money on a mouse. Primary would be wagecucking and just browsing the internet.

Expensive mouses do nothing more than cheap mouses
I recommend Logitech g300, they usually last me 6 years, are comfy, and allow to set macros on the buttons. My last one cost me 30€

Lots of expensive mice, especially logitech, use shit components that burn out in a few years.

The magnetic scroll wheel is the key defining feature and it's the best scroll wheel I've ever used. Just flicking it and playing with it is fun. That's probably where most of the cost is though (~$100 when I bought it). It's a nice mouse and comfy to hold but if you're on a budget you can go for cheaper.

The G550 has the best scroll wheel on the market for gaming.

We use this exact mouse at work and it SUCKS. It regularly loses tracking so you have to zigzag up and down to move left, then you leave it for half an hour and it works fine again. Super frustrating and I've never had a problem like that with my Kensington Expert.
Also the Logitech software regularly eats a whole cpu core despite not being opened or used. But it's got AI! Just what I always wanted in my mouse configurator.

Anon said he wanted it for browsing and office work.
>G550
You mean picrel? This design looks way too busy for me, even if the scroll wheel is supposedly nice. What do you think makes it so nice? In my experience I only use the scroll wheel in games just to weapon swap or do some other simple binary option so I don't care much for the scroll wheel in games, as long as it's not broken.
Scroll wheels for office work is more important imo because you'll probably be poring through documents/webpages a lot and with the Master MX magnetic wheel you can scroll from start to end as fast as the computer/document will allow (sometimes near instant).

I wasn't responding to them I was responding to you.
The G550 mouswheel is the best on the market.
For every application... ironically you go on to yammer about gaming.

The freewheel switch toggle is tits. The weighted wheel makes the infinity spin go on and on compared to other versions and the incremental spin is crisp. The wheel size and height above the buttons makes it more tactile.

The tilt actuation is what puts it over the top. There are only two mice on the market that have tilt-option buttons. It was originally offered on the G500 but that line has been discontinued.

The only thing that image tells me is that you're either insincere, retarded: or both.

i have this mouse. previously i used the logitech vertical one that looks kinda phalic

i don't trust the durability of logitech's products. this is because i believe my previous kb (logitech) had programmed obsolescence, and this mouse now has the left click fucked after a year of use (though it might be because i dropped it)

except that and some temporary issues with connectivity, i don't have any other complains about it. the trackball is comfy and i don't need to move my hand at all to use my pc

This shit fucking sucks.
None of the three angles are comfortable.
Rechargeable battery lasts less than a month even with extreme power saving kicking in after like 5 seconds of inactivity.
M575 lives 6+ months on a single AA battery and wakes up instantly.
Also I got calluses from ribbed scroll wheels.

Maybe once a month I recharge it and I think in less than 30 mins it's good to go. The one I bought comes with a wedge which also increases the angle, works for me. Mine is actually quite old nowadays, but works as new after replacing the switches one time.

I bought one a few years ago, best mouse I've owned. My wife has one of the riced up gaming ones that was double the price and it runs flat in a couple of days and doesn't feel as nice in your hand. My one needs ten minutes of charging every two months.

don't get this piece of shit, it's covered in the cheapest godawful feeling rubber coating that deteriates and leaves you with a sticky gross mouse that you can't get rid of unless you modify the entire thing. It also has a 125hz polling rate which is insane for a mouse that costs 150 dollars... the only thing it has going for it is the scroll wheel and the battery life.

Check out the Keychron M6 which is essentially the same mouse, but at 50 dollars. It has a weaker battery life and the scroll wheel is slightly loud if you're a woman that cares about that sort of thing, other than that it mogs the logitech in just about every way. I will never buy another logitech again, I can't believe people shill for that fucking thing. It's probably awesome if you use a mouse for like 3 or 4 hours per week.

MX Master is a good mouse for about 2 years. After that the buttons will start fucking up. I replaced my buttons with silent switches, I believe Kailh but I'm not sure. But a few months after that the rubber coating is starting to degrade. It's not that terrible but I think I have another 6-12 months left until I have to replace the entire mouse.
