why does everyone use tenkeyless keyboards. you're paying for less. even if you're "not an accountant", you can remap those keys to anything. you can open 4chan with the 4 key if you wanted to. people pay for fucking decks so they can have more shortcuts but refuse to use a full length keyboard, wtf

ergonomics.
I have more room for the gaman mouse w/ TKless

yeah but how are you going to move SWEPs around in gmod? or use your left hand to move the mouse out of boredom every once in a while? you can't just use arrow keys for *that*, anon...

I prefer a more minimal keyboard. Why have 2 sets of numbers?

TKL + Wireless numpad
Best of both worlds

As a Blender user, the number pad is absolutely useful.

tkl+separate numpad is superior. I keep it on the left side of my keyboard most of the time as a macropad and move it to the right when I need to work with a bunch of numbers.

I may have literally never used the numpad in the last decade, but I still want it on the 1% chance I will need it. Also free space for binding macros.

num pad still exists only because people using it have a skill issue touch typing the numbers using the upper row

Ergonomics, aesthetics and not wanting a literal waste of space of my desk

Mouse4 and Mouse5 for Pitch
Q and E for Yaw
A and D for Roll
W and S for throttle power.

Flying without your hand on the mouse to look around will always be inferior anyway

Because of modernity, trickle-down economics, etc., we’re required to spend at least eight hours a day on the computer. If you want a social life, you need even more. Full-size keyboards were designed in the Before Times, when we didn’t need to attend to our “battlestations” at all hours. They didn’t have good ergonomics. You can’t play games with the keyboard in the way, and if you’re working, the keyboard would never be centered otherwise. You would have carpel tunnel four hours in to your mandatory content-scrolling session. So we redesigned keyboards for the “best time in humanity”, aka now. I don’t like it and no one else does either. But we don’t run this world. This is the best we can do to cope.

I'm guessing you could keybind all that shit into a ALT+[Key] or CTRL+[Key] combination and make the whole thing better. Do you really want to take your hand off the mouse as a Blender user anyway?
Anonymous No.106648806 [Report]
I have limited desk space because I have multiple computers with seperate keyboards in addition to laptops. I don't need that shit wasting space. Perfect width for having one on your lap laying on a bed too, which is what I'm doing now. I have three HHKB, a realforce, and two macbooks right now

I am right-handed, and I like that I can put my mouse closer to the center of the keyboard. The numpads as they are work better for left-handed people.
If the numpad was on the left side of the keyboard, I would be happy to have the extra keys.

>why does everyone use tenkeyless keyboards
Can't speak for everyone, but I basically never use the keypad if I can help it, so why should I keep it around taking up space?

They only use their computer to write javascript, argue on twitter and watch hentai. They have no use for those keys
