afaik you shouldnt buy wireless headset unless youre willing to pay at least like $150 or preferably $300 if you want something actually decent

the only ones i've been actually happy with so far have been the astro a50s

im not a certified audiophile but i'm the anon from earlier and i tested a few headphones before settling on the a50s. i didn't notice a real good/bad kind of difference between akg studio headphones (k371 and k612) and the astro a50s. the studio headphones sounded a bit more flat and harsh, like being able to pick out instruments more easily, but not so great for listening without fucking around with the EQ. one thing i did notice was that certain songs and games with bad audio quality/mixing turned into crazy ear rape because studio headphones are like that i guess.

for me the astro a50s sound perfect out of the box. they feel easier on the ears while still being good audio quality. it's just personal preference but i prefer this over the studio style listening

i did also try cloud 3 wireless and they definitely sounded like total shit

Wired logitech over ear headphones tends to be of high quality but i'm using older versions.

Buy a Steelseries Arctis Nova Elite.

Astro has been dead to me ever since they got rid of their aux in on the dock. Arctis Nova Pro/Elite is better and allows direct Bluetooth connections to a device instead of everything going through the dock.

yeah the lack of aux is my biggest problem with them. it pisses me off and was my main obstacle with buying them even on a 30% sale. but i ended up relenting since i figured i have other wired headphones for the 5% of the time i want lossless audio with 0 latency

I have a g733 and other than the 2 leds on side (what were they thinking? It's very bad if you wear glasses) that requires openrgb or headsencontrol to turn off, is pretty much issue free.

What's nice about the Steelsies is that it comes with an aux cable as well so you can just use them as regular wired headphones with your mobile media player. I couldn't be happier after switching over. I even made some 3D printed shells to add wireless charging to the earcup with the oddly placed USB-C cable. Another thing that convinced me were the user replaceable batteries, it's a fairly common battery type and it's trivial to do. Compared to that, removing my A50 battery that inflated and replacing it was incredibly scary (because of the sharp plastic for the buttons).

im probably not going to make the switch anymore because ive already tried and returned like 4 pairs of headphones (lol) but i'm curious if you noticed a difference in audio style & quality and comfort between the a50 and arctis novas

idk if this is accurate but the astro a50s seem a hair better in terms of wireless audio latency

Comfort is about the same, I did swap the cushions for something more akin to the A50s though. I wear my headset more than 10 hours every day and I wear glasses no complaints here. Audio quality on the Pros are a step down but now that I have the Elites they are at least on par, but I'd say slightly better.
>>106948163
Are these on the old Pros? The new (2022) Pros don't have that selection and I never noticed latency.

Yeah they fell off ages ago there software is the most buggiest shit ever and the products they offer now are nothing compared to what they used to make back in the day

simply add a bit of visual latency via software so its synced up

Doesn't work for video games or audio production. I've accepted that I need a cord because wireless headphones that sound exactly the way I want, with a 2.4ghz dongle, and minimal (~5ms) latency don't exist.

Fuckass dongle broke in less than a year after buying. It's a worthless piece of plastic. At least it has good quality audio output.
