it means that if you have a normal fit they will have thin scooped mids and bright treble boosted by your length modes (around 6-8k Hz)
it's not exactly bad IEM for a lot of reasons but I dunno if it can be recommended unless you will be using something like triple falange eartips or foam....

I'm looking to test IEMs for practicing music at home. I play the bass and recently moved into a place where the walls are paper so I can't really play in the evenings anymore. I get a horrible rash on my temples from using headphones so I thought this could be a way to solve my problem and since I'm using a Scarlett, I can't have any wireless solution.

I want something where I can actually hear the frequencies I'm playing so preferrably something with decent bass. I don't really have any reference to IEMs, but as far as headphones the K271 for example are way too neutral in the bass for me.

Budget something below or about 50 bucks and I'll be ordering from Ali.

KBear KB01 has low sensitivity with good bass. I can't hear hiss from BT adapters in which would hiss on KZ single DDs.
It does have some ringing echoes if you hit the shell though, if that ever matters, since you wouldn't tap on the shell normally during listening sessions.

Of course music is not always at max power, there is crest factor and dynamic range, so 20dB on top of your listening level is a reasonable estimate. I see CX31993 dongles now combined with a MAX97220 amp chip.
My assumption is since the CX31993 is already pretty powerful for IEMs the amp still wouldn't let you'd drive headphones that would need amp and just introduces noise or something.

Crin just decided to normalize them at 8kHz and others followed, in reality they will vary per person, tip and IEM. Use your ears. Shorter ear canal/deeper insertion moves the peak to higher frequencies, that's the idea behind etymotics. There is a couple of moving peaks above 8kHz too.
