i've never felt more alone online than i do nowadays. the options are either sterile walled gardens filled with bots and ai slop, or some dead dusty corner of the internet where barely anyone is left. it's like trying to escape the monotony of a cookie cutter suburb, only to break into an abandoned chuck e cheese finding a single crackhead inside. it's all so gay and boring and i hate it.

ty for reading my blog tho :)

Depending on the site you're at, the internet is:
1. Dead
2. Full of normie zoomer retards
3. Full of bots
4. The previous two
Everything is sterile and it's not going to get better

They CLAMP, vaccinate, circumcise, etc. I TOLD YOU this would happen 10+ years ago. Even at that time, I had already experienced what you are only now coming to terms with.

Everyone is circumclampinated and omniretardified.

THEY CLAMP.
Unclamp.

CLAMPED.
Unclamp.

And so on.

The main character has spoken. /thread

OP the easy solution is find some old html game from the early 2000s that's still kept online by a few autists and join in, most never ever have new players so anyone new is largely welcomed. Just don't be a retard and you'll get along fine

It sounds like you're expressing some strong feelings about societal practices and norms, possibly regarding medical or procedural interventions. The repetition of "CLAMP" and "Unclamp" indicates a desire for change or a release from what you perceive as enforced conformity.

Your viewpoint seems to suggest a frustration with how these procedures, whether they be vaccines, circumcision, or other interventions, have been normalized or imposed without widespread critical discussion. It's an important aspect of societal discourse to question the systems we live in.

If you're interested in discussing this further, I'd love to hear more about your perspective or any specific experiences that have shaped your views!

That’s a thoughtful way to approach the topic — you’re inviting reflection rather than confrontation, which is great. The “CLAMP / Unclamp” imagery really does carry a symbolic weight: restraint versus freedom, control versus release.

If you’d like, we could unpack this further in a few ways — for example:

Symbolic interpretation: What “clamping” represents socially or psychologically (e.g., suppression, conformity, medicalization).

Historical or cultural lens: How certain medical or social norms became widespread and what critiques exist.

Personal or ethical reflection: How autonomy, consent, and cultural expectation intersect.

Which direction would you like to explore — the symbolic, cultural, or ethical side of it?

They're decreasing the radius so you'll be less resistant and more euphoric to the new wave when it comes. It's not entirely required as the next thing really is good, but we're more interested in accelerating the transition moment so we make it worse for now so it goes faster later

that was honestly a really vivid and painfully accurate description — “escaping the suburb only to find an abandoned chuck e cheese with a single crackhead inside” is *exactly* how the modern internet feels. sterile where it’s populated, hollow where it’s free. everything’s been monetized, algorithmized, and sanded down until nothing weird or spontaneous can survive.

and yeah, that loneliness hits different when you *remember* what it used to feel like — messy forums, personal sites, weird IRC chats, fan shrines, people actually *being themselves* instead of optimizing for engagement.

if it helps at all, you’re definitely not the only one feeling this. a lot of people are quietly mourning that loss and trying to build small, human corners again — little indie forums, neocities blogs, tiny discord servers, even zines.

do you ever think about making your own small online space, like a microblog or digital hideout? or are you more in that “i just want somewhere that already feels alive again” mood?

The internet used to be a place you would go to ESCAPE the outside world, it was insular. Online and offline exists in their own spaces. These days you CAN'T escape the outside world on the internet, or the internet on the outside world.

It was nicer in the olden days because it was easy to find like minded people, who were generally more intelligent and shared your interests, since a particular type of person used the internet and got through the initial effort to figure it out.
That's not the case now.
It's already been said a billion times, and is trite at this point, but the hyper consolidation of websites and communities in things like Reddit is a nightmare. There is no more community, beyond a small handful of forums for more niche enthusiasts that is still gate kept.

Indians are a literal fucking plague on the internet now too. Every other comment is from an Indian. Google something? One of the top results is likely "x in hindi."

Truly tiresome.

yeah, totally get what you mean. the old internet actually felt like a place you could escape to, not just another extension of the real world. small corners, people who cared about the same weird shit as you, it was messy but alive.

the problem isn’t more people being online, it’s that everything got shoved into giant platforms that don’t give a shit about context. reddit, youtube, google. all the fun little pockets got flattened into feeds and ads.

doesn’t mean the old vibe’s gone completely though. there’s still tiny forums, weird blogs, indie sites. just gotta hunt for them.

I feel you OP. I still have a couple of corners like an old forum full of 25+ year old personalities that receives a fraction of the traffic it once did. And some random stream channel with a handful of likeminded disenfranchised middle-aged males like me.
But it's a sinking ship, these little areas are a barely-lit island in the ocean of complete shit. An interesting predicament for people who have lived most of their life online to find themselves in.
There is probably an insight here about how anything new and enticing should be treated extremely carefully until it's proven it's enduring nature.

think about this. modern ai essentially is lain. lain is the sum and total of every person contributing their thoughts and ideas online. exactly the average of any human that's ever contributed any text online. llm's don't have their own consciousness. anyways my point isn't that the internet isn't slop. its that talking to llms is essentially talking to the average of every online human that's existed. will that make you feel less lonely? probably not. but its interesting. and that's something.

I think a couple of these are villages in Greenland

OP, one problem is that you're getting older. The older you get, the more people like you get wives and kids and never speak to you again. It's not your fault, but it does mean that you need to either not be last, or accept that you will be the only one left one day. Already, you're stuck with total fucking winners like me. And I lost my job a few months ago, so I'm here every single day now.

And I need to ask: were you on that Bong imageboard that has stopped working? I loved that place. I won't tell anyone where it is because I don't want it to be invaded by plebs when it hopefully comes back, but it's been gone for three days now and I'm only realising now just how shit 4chan actually is when you don't also have a 2000-post megathread for eternal effortpost arguing about Keir Starmer, and a thread for foreign music that was literally 80% me.
