>You can tile more and it's superior for multitasking
Alt tabbing is enough. I can't read two things at once, so it makes little difference whether the text is filling a whole 4:3 monitor, or half an ultrawide.
>Just push the monitor back lmao
I'm 6 feet away from my monitor right now.
>No you update when you decide
Shit drops support for old packages and OS versions fast, and its hard to find old software once the repositories remove it or go down. Enjoy dependency hunting for a ten year old program.
>No you can add repos
Still means I have to use repos.
>but you can make your own repos
Which is a lot of work for something I can do in ten seconds on Windows.
>Knowing when something wants elevated privileges is basic tech literacy.
No shit I know, I just don't like it. Its easier if everything operates with max privileges and never has to ask for them. I know how to avoid bricking my system and not to run obvious malware, so I don't want things baby proofed like I don't.
>What software doesn't work and has no workarounds on 11?
I was talking about Linux. I don't use Windows 11 because of Telemetry (spies and wastes network and system resources), resource wasting, useless AI bloat, lack of hardware support, online account requirement. the centered task bar, the settings menu, the ugly ass UI, and the lack of proper theming support.
>You havent given a single reason why there is value in doing that.
So you concede that there is a challenge in doing it then.
>No, you're doing workarounds for problems you created for yourself that teaches you nothing.
All challenges are that. You handicap yourself on purpose so you can learn to work more efficiently to compensate for the handicap. Its like doing one handed push ups.
