It literally prevented the entshitification of the internet by bloated web pages who now shit out 50 images and 5 auto playing video ads when you try to brows something. It also did create a culture of collecting files locally because you where suposed to SAVE the content from the internet locally to view later.

It also prevented the terminally online zoomeroids from existing since you got tiered and did something else.

Most modern websites load even slower thanks to this shit. And i didn't include the time it takes to select your cookie preference
